The talent, the songwriting genius, okay, I can't say he's lucky for that. Yes, a lot of that is genetic, he was born with the mind and the ear, but there was a lot of hard work involved. But the voice. To be blessed with that magical tone that came out so naturally and effortlessly without an ounce of training. THAT is a damn blessing. He's lucky as hell to have that.
el miercoles estara paul en chile, este sera de los momentos mas increibles que tendre en mi vida, vere a un beatles en vivo y en directo uuuuh yeaah!!
When a ABBA tribute said he attended their gig his spokesman said:
The spokesman said he was "sorry to disappoint" the tribute act, but added: "Mr Putin is more of a Beatles fan than an Abba one, as you can see if you read an interview by Andrew Lloyd Webber with Mr Putin on our website."
“I cannot boast of being an expert in this area” – Putin picked out the British band that had kindled Russians’ aspirations of freedom during the cold war.
He said: “Of course many generations in Russia have been raised by and still have a strong love of the creative works of the Beatles. I had the pleasure to meet, several years ago, Mr McCartney and of course their songs and the pieces that they have granted to this world are still on top.”
Am i correct in thinking the audience is listening to a "legend" performing one of the most emotional Beatles songs. anybody would think they were listening to a party political broadcast.
Putin in the front row....at least he let Paul and the band play. The entire DVD is very good as it has a lot of background stories of ordinary Russians smuggling in Beatle albums and their underground love of the Beatles in the USSR days. Highly recommended.
I suppose that you are over 60.I am 45.Interesting that the Beatles made Britain proud again.Churchill is still my hero of the 20th century. On the other hand was Lennon my idol.I became a fan after he was murdered.Suddenly i saw and heard through radio and tv the genius of this man and his band.
Unwinnable wars doesnt excist in the mind of the dictator.People in power are there for a reason. The people with real power direct them. The moneychangers etc.
Just like in the old days: The Apparatchiki gets the best seats! Enjoy the concert Vlad? When you were a KGB hood, did the Beatles' music make you grind your teeth? lol.... Good version, btw, Paul!
Music can mean so many things to so many people, but I would say the Beatles' greatest accomplishment was that their music touched so many people around the world in so many ways, your story is a great example of that.
To mcgintythegreat comment: On "She's Leaving Home" and Beatles -- you spoke exactly what i think. it was the same in my work, school, or fishing trip with buddies. their songs elevated one to another consciousness away from messes others designed for us, without our say.
5 Stars!!!!! I may have just pissed my pants!!! Upon further investigation I do believe that I have indeed pissed my pants.... O how I hail thee, Sir "Mcartney"...
Stalin killed millions as did Hitler, and they WERE NOT Christians. Sadaam gassed his own people in villages like the Muslim send their own children with suicide bombs strapped to them in the name of that fake god "allah.
I love it when you commie wannabes whine like the pigs that you are. You never mention why your beloved commie countries had to put fences up to keep your people in while the USA had to keep people out.
Now, with that said, go back to your socialist manifesto and get down on your knees and pray to that murdering bastard Joseph Stalin.
The Beatles needed to make it in America. Once they did they rocked the world. They wanted to make it America. I adore and worship The Beatles. The US has sure kicked The UK in most everything. We kicked you out of America so we could have our Freedom. Now, The UK follows America. Once again, The Beatles rule.
An American killed John Lennon. Need I say more? And Freedom? America? Surely you aren't still buying that propaganda horse shit? Freedom to carry guns and have high school kids shoot each other, the same freedom that allowed a nutter to kill the worlds greatest songwriting legend and ambassador for peace. Plus, you never produced anything as pure as The Beatles Elvis, He didn't write a song in his life, and Dylan, He cant sing for fuck. North Korea and China will teach you has-beens a lesson.
I have had full freedom since I was born. remember, The USA was under British rule until we kicked you out. Yes, the guy that klled Lennon was an American. And, if Lennon were still in England chances are this guy would have gone to the UK. Now, North Korea and China? You are funny as well as ignorant. The UK as well as most European countries and Russia would join with The US if either of those countries were to attack some country. The UK will follow America's lead. They always do.
im ashamed that i have to agree.britain is america 2.0 we now have loads of fat people, religious fanatics, not just christian, we take life's values for granted. we're greedy. and kill off the heros who made a stand, john lennon being one
But this arrangement...... Paul sings it beautifully, but the keyboards emulating the strings are so horrible. Can't McCartney get some real strings on the stage? 1:44 listen how that cello riff sounds simply AWFUL on the keyboards! Same goes to Eleanor Rigby!
I hope this video illustrates to all the halfwits who think that Russian people are some kind of alien race, that they are in fact beautiful, intelligent, sensitive souls who want the best for their children as we all do. Let's stop bigotry and racism now. It's bullshit and we all know it in our hearts....peace.
The best songs on Sgt.Peppers are A Day In The Life, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Within You Without You, and my personal favorite She's Leaving Home
