I liked this season the best. The mix of sex and violence in the show was done perfectly. I feel kinda bad saying that, but it was intoxicating. First I had doubts about the series and somebody else taking the lead role. Gannicus is darn brilliant as is the story, the plot, the twists, the boobs, the total shit to everything attitude etc. Every episode is suprising and the ending is equally as awesome as the original Spartacus. The acting is so brilliantly done that I fucking hate Batiatus, Lucretia ( she's more a demon than a human lol ) and Ashur.

@StevXtreme Lucretia is a total bitch, and yes she does things for Batiatus out of love. But they both go way to far, just for the status and the money. Thats the only thing they care about next to each other. I liked that Spartacus killed the shit out of them at the end of Season 1. John Hannah and Lucy Lawless are really great actors. They do it so well that I hate the characters they play haha. I really don't understand your question though, isn't it obvious that you hate them as a viewer?

@NewMetallica Nope. I actually root(ed) for Batiatus. I rarely root for the "hero" in series/movies where the "villain" is not an mono-dimensional character. The motivations for the bad guy are usually deeper, more complex and result in greater labor and dedication.

Also John Hannah is simply too cool to be hated.

But yeah that's the difference between you and me I guess :-) I agree with you though that Batiatus has more to him as a character then Spartacus. His wife was killed etc. Batiatus is a more deep character.

Omg they've seriously recycled most of the cast of Hercules and Xena and put them in Spartacus. We've got Lucy Lawless as Lucretia, Michael Hurst (Iolaus) directing some of the episodes, Titus was King Jason in Hercules, Tullius was Hades in Xena, and Solonius came out on Xena as a Roman soldier. lmao!!
