i absolutely agree. there is a smoothness on the floor, completely 'effortless, i.e - no tension whatsover. Yes, the world is around them and they are at the epicentre. too often a difficult moment to capture and/or experience in tango. The variances to recognisable steps make it all the more delicious. In tango, this so called 'simplicity' are the most complex to master and execute.

Great dancing, very musical and heartfelt. I personally don't think it is milonguero style though. Embraced tango, yes -but continuous alteraciones is not what milongueros do, nor appreciate in social dancing .

Mammie and Carlitos CAN dance milonguero style, as the masterfully show in other YT videos.

Tangocurious,I absolutely agree with you;watching this couple especially the woman dance reminds me of the beautiful footwork of the likes of Geraldine and Andrea Misse.The precision of the feet and transfer of weight is so subtile amongst these dancers that it does not matter if they are dancing milonguero style or nuevo. Last time I saw Geraldine at a milonga in BsA, she danced one of the most beautiful "milonguero" style tangos I've ever seen. "Neo" please give me a break!

The rest is really nice, Mamie is exuberant and sensual, the connection is convincing, compás is right, but remains this distracting pacing with the heels. And by the way, Javier Rodríguez never would do that. Should he?

Banlun, Javier walks heels first most of the time. Milongueros who walk heel first: all.

Look at Tete, Pocho, Pibe A., etc for examples.

Milonguero is about relaxation and sensuality, and heels first is the most anatomically natural. Landing on the ball of the foot is stylish and many milongueros use it to add aesthetics to their dance too. But comfort and relaxation come first! Check out my video list!

I wish I could agree. Your passion is sheer clear. I did look at your 46 clips. Judicious usually metatarses first. Tete is a special case. As for Pocho and other milongueros, they have ironing feet with a loose ankle, esta bien flojo el tobillo, they have THE signature of tango porteño. Finally, consider quizás that stilettos are not that natural to women. Is tango natural when your models are feline, maritime? I apologize to Mamie and Carlitos for this long off-shore academic sleeze.

Besides, don't you think shoes, specially high hells are natural props for bailarines? Is ''stylish'' a familiar keyword for ''suave''?
