haha, the twisted irony. in order for a therapy session to work the patient and the therapist have to engage in an open and honest dialogue of emotion and thought. it's especially imp. for the patient. here it's twisted around. the therapist is the one being dishonest and indirect, yet she's the one treating the patient who is attempting open honesty. she deals in mystery and clandestine, opaquely drawn subtext. dishonesty and repression from a therapist, haha great irony. nice subtle comedy.
