are this 100 on manual or automatic transmision? how is the 100 series with automatic transmision feels, drives on off road? I only drove manuals in off road and one time a cheroke with automativ transmision, felt ok..

In the US it's Auto only. That's great for me...very easy to wheel in the rocks and Arizona = ROCKS. [:>)

though the 100 series has no front lockers is the traction control aggressive enough to compensate or is it just a cost cutting feature. Not many stand by the newer cruisers because of that.

For most 4-wheeling obstacles I'll take the 2000+ trac-equiped models over the 98-99 rear-locker-only-no-trac years. It works very well plus you can always add the front and rear lockers at any time. Then you have the best setup as you can use what you need.
