  • That air grab was so Predicted. If it was a match you would have gotten teched

  • not that great, waste of meter. not to mention that you used the distortion at the wrong time.

  • MvC2 doesnt have awesome combos. It's just a bunch of repeating bullshit. MvC2 is the most unbalanced fighting game ever.

  • MvC2 has easier combos. If you think that's better that's perfectly fine but anyone looking for a serious competitive gaming experience would disagree with you.

  • MvC2 is a 2D shooter with life bars.

  • g0th1k4: 5c->2c always connects, its 5c->6c that requires counter hit.

  • JUST got this game today.

    it was the ONLY copy they had and it was special edition (packaged with another dvd)

    it was the same standard price though!

    and it said on ign that it wouldn't be released for another 4 or 5 days.

    my roommate said he even saw it on the shelf LAST week.

    i didn't believe him, and he figured he was just hallucinating.

    good look checking gamestop websites, they are NEVER accurate if a game is in stock.

    so GL finding it. i guess waiting a couple days isnt' too hard.

    BlazBlue was released a few weeks ago, ONLY as the Limited Edition. The Standard edition is being released tomorrow. So no, IGN and/or other gaming sites aren't wrong when saying that the game is being (re)released tomorrow. >_>

  • The air throw is really easy to dodge and is about 1/3 of the damage... But cool combo anyway.

  • You wouldn't have been able to dodge that air throw due to the hitstun.

  • if you get throwed while in hit/blockstun, you have plenty of time to tech out of the throw, noted by the double purple "!!".

    and yes, that includes while you are frozen.

    so as tazelot said, maybe not "dodge", but its definitely really easy to throw escape.

  • It wouldn't have made a difference damage wise. Ragna already touched the ground and can recover. Any more hits after that would have been just for showing off. (unless it was a barrier burst before the combo started)

  • Look closely and you can see it. Also if you have limited edition as most people have since its the basic $60 the dvd has combos for all the characters.

    But...for this particular combo it seems to be:

    A, B, C, forward+C, qcb+A, D, forward+C, his DD#2, jump and throw.

    Cause the 214D version freezes the opponent.

  • let me clarify a little, all first prints of the game are limited edition (the 2-disc soundtrack and dvd with game). Online preorder ships with the Art Book and soundtrack etc. (if you didn't know)

  • I think you can only quick recover after you've hit the ground after a distortion, so it should be

  • Throws are breakable in this game. The during hit stun throw break window is huge, any mid level player would break it, and it isnt guaranteed.

    if u get throwed while in hitstun (like in this video) you have a much larger time to attempt throw escape, however if u attempt to do so twice outside the techwindow, you will get a "throw escape fail" or something along those lines.

  • This looks like a major loop combo hope the damage scale is right.

  • it cant be looped because u need 50 of ur heat gauge to do that super move. so unless u have 100% when u start it or like 90 somethin even, then u cant do it. and if u have 100% or 90 somethin %, that would either mean that the other character is almost dead, in which case such a long combo is useless, or ur almost dead, in which case go for it, but its dangerous to try such a long combo, especially when the arrow ultra needs to come out the second after foward C hits otherwise its a miss.
