While looking for God, how do you know if you have found the right god? I'm not bagging on you or telling you there is no god, because I know he is very real. And I know you have found God, even if I don't agree with some of your beliefs. So this is a personal question meant to spark some curiosity in you. Just something to think about. I will not try to discredit you at all. And I will only share with you what you ask me to.
From watching this videos (and other videos), you seem like a good father. But, I hope you teach your daughter different perspectives on issues such as evolution and other topics (such as atheism). Let your daughter make her own decisions on these issues.
Narrow is the path to God, which is why it's called "Narrow-minded". You want to believe something so you believe it, and ignore all the evidence and reason to the contrary. I want to believe in the land of Middle Eart and Hobbits, I truly do, but I know they are imaginary.
I looked for god for over 20 years, all i found was a lot of brain chemicals, causing sensations that many mistook for reality.Man made mythology mistaken for divine inspiration. Humans gaming their own heads making up "god"in their own image,& thinking its the other way around.Of course what do you expect from a hairless,Talking Ape?
Sometimes JF you are a one note muscian. I see your daughter in a lot of your vids yet I hardly ever hear you talk about your hopes for Stephanies future. What's up with that?
@valhala56 There are lotof things I don't talk about. I dont have the time. My hopes and dreams for steph are simple. I pray she lives to honor God and I want her happy. I pray she is a simple and honest woman. I hope she will be kind and loving. I pray she will make a great mother and wife someday. Most of all I pray she loves God above all else.
I do have a question, however; When jesus was crucified he was-according to the bible- between two other men who was also beaten and crucified like him...my question is, what happen to them? Why are we not worshiping them if they too endured the same if not more torture then jesus?
@StormGoesBOOM the same if not more? Nowhere does.it.indicate they received more. We don't worship them because the were not sinless as Jesus was. Jesus alone saves us .
Well, I'm replying to the tread, so @StormGoesBOOM too. Christians like to say Jesus never sinned because they believe, from what I can understand, that "sin" can only be for given by the shedding of blood, macbre. The religion tried tavoid inherited sin by making Jesus a virgin birth. Problem is, acording to the gospel Jesus sinned a lot. He picked grains and healed people on the sabbath, he dishonored his mother, and he ate regardless of "The Law." SINNER
@DansLookingGlass The idea of Jesus being sinless is because there was no human sexual union. According to Judaism, the sin nature is carried and passed on by the male. Thus, Jesus is traditionally seen as sinless for this reason.
@jezuzfreek777 "Jesus also lived a sinless life." Also? You are restating what I just said. According to the story, he was sinless. This is why the virgin birth doctrine is necessary, or the whole thing goes in the toilet.
@jezuzfreek777 Jesus living a sinless life is why its difficult to identify with him. Real, normal humans dont live a "sinless" life. To experience being a genuine human, you need to be able to sin.
@DansLookingGlass your evidence is incorrect.. Jesus said, and i am just paraphrasing from memory, "Is it better to do good rather than evil?" when he was talking about healing the crippled-hand man in the story. Jesus said that it was not sinful to heal, to do good, and help people on the sabbath. And about dishonoring his mother, do you mean about when the people said, "Blessed is the woman who bore you" and Jesus said "Rather, blessed are the ones who hear the Father's will and do it"?
@StormGoesBOOM As for what happened to them, Jesus said that they would be with him in paradise that same day he died. So I think they were forgiven and saved.
Would it not be the case that if one was looking and found God, faith would no longer be required? In my experience as a Christian, I found that the harder I looked, and the more I sought deeper understanding, the more I was brought away from God and the more I found my faith unjustifiable.
In a way, it would seem that by looking for God, it would be implying that faith isn't enough, and that more evidence is required.
@TheSkepticalAtheist "Would it not be the case that if one was looking and found God, faith would no longer be required? In my experience as a Christian, I found that the harder I looked, and the more I sought deeper understanding, the more I was brought away from God and the more I found my faith unjustifiable."
This is my story to. I was looking for evidence to support my beliefs, and I found the exact opposite.
@jezuzfreek777 How does somebody know when they have forgiven somebody for causing pain and suffering in their life. I'm struggling on forgiveness yet impossible to forget such things.
There's not enough room for a psychology lecture here so I'll just say don't look too hard for God. On a few of your videos I've heard you talk about how hard you look for God and pray to God and it's clear that you experience psychological tunnel vision. If you look too hard for God, you will find God psychologically, but he will be false positives in your head. Take a step back and let him come to you. The silence is deafening.
JF, I realize you are just playing an innocent game of frisbee, but did you know that in 2010, 16 people were knocked unconscious from running into objects while playing? I recommend a helmet just to be safe. ; -)
Good video. i loved the interaction between you and your daughter. it reminded me of when I was younger with my family playing frisbee. Gee - something like 30 + years ago!
Of course, I don't personally agree with your message - in just that I think it's a waste of time and effort, but that doesn't take away from the video itself. For those out there searching with you, i'm sure this video could be a very motivational one - so thumbs up for that.
Some people are faithful, others aren't. Such is life. Maybe if the christian god gave people the same personal experience that you have had JezuzFreek, then they might believe it also. Who knows.
Great message Jezuzfreek, but I thought that this video presented another good Christian principle. When we are dealing with those who want to do the right thing, but keep making mistakes, we need to be patient and keep teaching. Too many people would get frustrated and give up.
@ichhassedasjuden I don't need undeniable proof. I'm willing to believe my daughter loves me without undeniable proof. I trust in God and have faith in his love and grace. Its odd how people are willing to live life with so much faith until it comes to God.
@ichhassedasjuden Millions of religions, I would doubt. Thousands, yes.
There is a lot of archeological evidence to support Christianity. Christianity would never have been able to get off the ground if Jesus didn't perform any miracles. And Christianity would never have flourished in Jerusalem if he did not rise from the dead.
There are hundreds Jewish, and Roman accounts of Jesus, suggesting that Jesus DID exist and DID perform miracles.
@ichhassedasjuden Without sounding too arrogant or anything, but the way I feel it is like; the Bible has a real depth that nothing else has. Christianity has an authentic depth to it. It's so different from the world, it goes upstreams instead of with the stream. Like a Russian guy said; "Only dead fish follow the stream" and in this case I can't agree more. And also, if you want to find the spring or the source, you gotta swim upstreams.
I wish you would have allowed for us to rate this video but at least you allowed me to fav it which i did my dear brother, this message is soo important that it can never be repeated enough, a great reminder to focus on Christ and to keep seeking God'Face in everything, His Wisdom over ours as we still live in the corruptible for a little time God bless you greatly bro, Blessed be the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I can't blame you for taking the proper percautions to protect your daughter. Haters are gonna whine and complain but by doing this it will really discourage them.
Hey Jezuzfreek, I've watched your videos for a while now. I just wanted to say I've seen a lot of haters and low ratings and such and I just want to say I have a huge amount of respect for you because you keep going, it's inspiring really. Thanks for all the lessons, and keep it up, what you do means a lot to some of us.
Well, finding a being that's unseen, and can't be shown to one, is hard to find, and well, holy books aren't exactly where ones deity is, literally, or perhaps, it is... but only in the form of stories...
People need to leave this man alone.
If he wants to believe in faith and god then let him be.
He's not out to harm anyone.
