i love pino palladino...im going to end up with the same bass he has here which was a musicman stingray fretless....i know all about jaco but when i was a kid only 10 getting into pop music..this was what i was treated to..blue eyed soul; and slick bass playing...wouldnt want it any other way.

This blows the original away. The only self-penned number 1 hit from Marvin, albeit posthumously. Never liked the original reggaeish vibe anyway. Love this sparse instrumentation and cool soul in his voice. As with his tender version of Both Sides Now- better than original!!!

I adored Paul Young...discovered his Brit-soul voice when I was in the UK in 1982. I too wish he'd tour again. I for one would be there to hear that voice again. He always looked like he had so much fun performing and the audience just ate him up. Kind of like a certain gray-haired IDOL who did his won version of this song in his concerts lasy year.

How come this and other great concerts by PY and others from the 80's don't get released on DVD/Blueray? A few years ago I came across a recording of a concert PY did in Chicago back in -84 - what a treat! I'm sure there's lots of material out there, but hardly anything gets released.

i sadly remember this on BBC TV back in 1985 - at xmas - the last one i would spend with my mother before she died. She was a huge Paul Young fan and this song was the first thing I remember buying for her out of my pocket money. Thanks for posting.
