sickle is depressing and there are people that wont understand sometimes even your own family, you cant help but feel pain i have SC too. i know it sucks and the hospital trips aren't a trip to Disney world... there are time i wanna be like everyone else but but we gotta keep ourselves positive and spread awareness and hope people will understand more..
Though I don't have sickle cell, I do understand wanting to be out from under the pain, the sleepless nights, and the fact that my family doesn't understand my situation. There doesn't seem to be a moment of NOT being in pain or discomfort. You are my hero and you are in my prayers. Things will get better. Even Job got a reprieve from his sufferings. Be Blessed!
