My brother manages a large hog farm in Ohio. These videos are old. The animals are not tortured, their stalls are clean, in fact my brother has to shower in, and shower out from every building he enters. He wears a facial mask, and sterile clothing. The animals are given antibiotics when they are sick. A lot of people get up in arms over antibiotics given, but what is more cruel? A sick animal, left to die with no treatment from a simple infection, or an animal that gets sick, then cured?

There is much contradictory information about eating meat. Some argue that it is causes cancer, heart deceases and other bad things. Others say that it is necessary for humans. But how can it be called necessary if people live without it and don't have health problems? I stopped eating meat 6.5 years ago and now I'm very satisfied with my health. I think that who wants to be healthy should learn more about vegetarianism.

3. Only fabricated meat can cause health problems, with high cholesterol levels. And thats not natural meat that we're supposed to eat.

There is much contradictory information about eating meat. Some argue that it is causes cancer, heart deceases and other bad things. Others say that it is necessary for humans. But how can it be called necessary if people live without it and don't have health problems? I stopped eating meat 6.5 years ago and now I'm very satisfied with my health. I think that who wants to be healthy should learn more about vegetarianism.

@icelandickula 1. We didn't develop from monkeys. Humans and monkeys have the same ancestors. Also, some monkey species eat meat too, they just don't hunt large mammals.
2. Even if we would be developed from monkeys, that doesn't mean, that we don't have to eat meat. To develop is to change. Humans and monkeys is similar yet different species.
3. Only fabricated meat can cause health problems, with high cholesterol levels. And thats not natural meat that we're supposed to eat.

And as I said before, humans DID NOT evolve from monkeys. We just share common ancestor. Humans evolved from ape-like species, that no longer exists. Secondly, all vegetarians ain't dead, because being veg causes health problems, like exhaustion, muscle and brain disfunction, weakness etc., not death. What not good is eating factory farmed meat that induces pain to animals just for the profit motive. The workers you see abusing the animals are victims themselves of factory farm. I disagree. I am a meat eater until I watched this and a few other movies like it. As of this moment, I am a vegetarian. If you can watch this and shrug it off, then there is something wrong with you. Keep eating meat if you think you must BUT eat free range organic.
I agree that meat from natural sources is good for us, but that doesn't mean that not eating meat is bad for us. That's faulty logic...and an argument of convenience. This type of meat is not healthy.
