  • This doesnt show anything to the consumer. I wanted to see someone pin the motor at redline for like 10 minutes (while its actually installed) then drive it in a rally car race or cross country. THAT would show some strength

  • They should do this to their 6.2 litre V-8. Make it Flex-Fuel so you could run 105 Octane E-85 in it.

  • i just love how ford continues to compare apples to oranges, i understand that the ecoboost engine is a great engine, but its 365hp and 420tq, its going to beat a standard silverado, with a 5.3, even its newest ratings are 315hp and 335 tq, its a no brainer, compare the numbers, stupid ppl are like OMG my v6 just beat your v8, but really come on, let me put a turbo on the 5.3 and then lets compare, boosted vs boosted, how do you like them apples?

  • @leroyjenkins09

    i agree holehgeartly if they offered a comparable model or a turbo'd v8 / v6 from factory.

I have been waiting a long time for north american auto makers to start using the fantastic gain in every aspect from turbo chargers.

  • @leroyjenkins09 you can't compare it against something that doesn't exist.

  • its going to take GM, Dodge and Toyota a long time to catch up

  • @586guest2 you make these engines out to be designed and tested by people with degrees in basket weaving. There's a lot of effort that goes into these tests and designs. And if any other engine could do this, why haven't they released their testing programs on their engines?

No replacement for displacement??.. Arent Cummins 6 cylinder engines??.. You've heard of something called ' horsepower ' right? Engine displacement isn't how a trucks power is rated. It's a torque v.s. hp curve, not a 'dis

  • i bet a gm motor from the 70's could outperform and outlast these new ecoshit engines

  • @586guest2 ur such a stupid shit theres no way ne small block or bog block new or old chevy could do have the work of this v6

  • @allthingsfast this is just modern shit. all newer car engines are made cheap. there is still no replacement for displacement, even if i could afford this truck i would rather be caught driving a vw vanagon. ford is cheap shit anyways so enjoy your ecoshit engine fucker

  • @586guest2 Yeah that's why I've only seen Ford's from the 60's and 80's and Chevy's from the 90's if they're lucky. So if GM is so good why did they take the bailout and Ford didn't?

  • @ZaoHuZhua im just stating, my grandfather worked in a ford plant and my parents have only ever bought ford, i remember when i was little we had a pinto. but ive seen the newer fords and my family has had nothing but trouble with the new fords, my dads lincoln gave up with under 200000k on the odo. my mom switched to toyota(not her best choice) for me i put over 300k on a 2.4 gm pushrod v6( from an x body skylark) and it always ran,

  • @586guest2 My dad owns an 08' ford and only had problems with brake noise once. My 91' ford needed about $3,000 in repairs because the truck was never serviced even the oil was used for about 39,000 miles without a change. It has 156K on it already but the engine is still in fairly good condition.

  • @586guest2 WOW, to say that a 70's engine would out perform this engine is pretty stupid, I love GM to death but ya gotta understand that the relyability isnt restricted to a name. I can see how you may think there is no substitute for displacement, but times have changed, and the turbos evolved, I would love to see that 70's GM engine go head to head with the ecoboost in these tests, and Im sure that the GM would fall flat on its face... Get with the times dumbass

  • @JamesBondSim9 i bet these tests are so far fetched, these tests most likely are not legit. i will always buy older cars. i may even buy older fords but i hate all this computerized plastic small displacement bull shit engines.. moron.

  • @586guest2 its cool if you want to buy older cars, Im not trying to tell ya any diffrent. you call all of this computerized stuff "bullshit", sir you are sadly mistaken, all of that "bullshit" is making the engine more efficent, it is doing things that the older ones could never do with out. Im not a fan of the small displacement stuff either, but if the ecoboost can deliver like it says it can, then thats all the convincing anyone should need, if your too blind to see that, then too bad for you

  • yeah cause I drive from -20 to +100 in minutes and I to a lot of logging and skidding. I don't want to use a skid-steer I wanna use my brand new pickup truck.

I always race on the track pulling a trailer for 24 hours straight. Me and my chev and dodge buddies are always racing in the desert pulling trailers on weekends and I need a 4.3 second victory over them. this is the truck i need!

reminds me of the kirby vacuume salesman the vacuums up bullets (fake ones) and sticks it on ceiling

  • Nothing a Chevy block can't do. But I'll admit, those are some impressive numbers.

  • BAJA 1000 BEST RACE EVER......BAJA CALIFORNIA

  • pretty badass i must say, but I think any modern day motor could do that also. Chev, Ford or Dodge, all the same...
