  • "Throw me the whip!"

  • @stegatops wasnt it adios instead of all yours?

  • @stegatops You could warn them... if only you spoke Hovitos!

  • Agreed.....one of the best openings ever. Lucas and Spielberg were at their strongest peak......screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan.....music by John Williams.....it was simply a superteam. I love this opening jungle bit......intense, intimate, dangerous.....cerebral. The music is perfect. Even the attention to detail, like the Paramount mountain symbol turning into a real mountain! Magnificent!

  • LOL! I always wondered about that.......if it was that poisonous, wouldnt a single taste kill him? I wouldnt test it!!

  • Remember, this was the first fucking piece of music that ever popped up.

    Good times....

  • Raiders, along with Ep 4,5,&6 defined my childhood growing up. This is classic cinema to me.

  • makes me wanna watch Indiana Jones again!!

  • At 3:21 "Ahh, the iconic introduction of Arizona Smith."

  • MaciejGawron, this is a score composed in 1981/82 and has inspired hundreds of movie scores, including Pirates and Lord Of the Rings. John Williams has really opened a new era in scoring movies, along with Jerry Goldsmith and others.

I adore all the soundtracks you've just mentioned, but this is mastering, dude, no comparison.

  • clearly the best soundtrack of the whole movie, thats for sure.

  • Weird Al did a spoof of this in UHF

  • There's something about 3:35 that gets you really exited. The music changes and becomes more steady, introducing you to the first story.

  • Magnificent opening in the jungle. Williams' score is so atmospheric. You can feel the humidity on your skin, listening to this.

  • One of the best openings in all of film. The picture, the score, the character introduction all done superbly.
