@BBSroll no it's not a 4b11 .. the 4b11 is derived from hyundai engine .. it's similar but not the same the gen has a 100% hyundai engine .. mitsubishi got their own head designs and changed a few parts from the original hyundai engine

@mrdiaz0108 the reason why you see that with the 2.ot is because its a watered down evo x motor so the parts are easy to find and nothing really needs to be custom made ... but the v6 is hyundai's own motor with a bmw transmission ... both cars are great
@mrdiaz0108 That's because the 2.0 is a GEMA engine while the 3.8 is Hyundai's own engine. Out the package, it's the 3.8. When it becomes to modifying, the 2.0 already has a great start while the 3.8 needs to be explored for its limits.
My friend works at a dealer ship and we pulled the silencer and air box off threw an aem dry filter on it sounded amazing. The bov is really loud but with the silencer on you can't here it because it's integrated into the compressor housing. You can also here the turbo spool its amazing.
kmr3891 this is a a turbo back exhaust it goes from the outlet at the turbo all the way through the test pipe which is also called a catdelete pipe and then through the actual exhaust
@kmr3891 if you have a turbo car, exhaust makes a big difference in performance. if your buying just because you like the sound or don't your looking at exhaust for the wrong reason. its a performance upgrade, not an aural upgrade.
i personally have a 2.0t. and ive had it since last august. i have an atp turbo and this exhaust. as well as cold ram intakes and some other things i have dont that i dont feel like going into detail about. but that exhaust sounds incredible. it feels like it has almost doubled the upper gear torque. i havent done a dyno test yet. but its on my list of shit to do. buy this exhaust. even if you dont have a car. its shiny

Own a 2.0T, just installed a cold air intake. It dyno'd at 220 hp, 225 torque. Pretty cheap horsepower gains for $175. (+10 hp, +2 torque). From other research, adding freer flowing exhaust and an ecu flash gives 250 hp and 293 torque, without tearing apart or rebuilding the engine.
Stock numbers are 210 hp, 197 whp. For weight, the Genesis Coupe is consistent with other cars in it's class. A little lighter than the Mustang, for example, and 200 lbs lighter than a G35 Coupe (which granted, is a car with substantially more hp than the 4 cyl). It's about 600 lbs lighter than my Dodge Stealth.
Please keep in mind that this is a customers vehicle. We do not 'mash' on the gas pedal and do try to shift as carefully as possible. These are not our own cars to mess with, so apologies for anyone who is misdirected as to the purpose of this video which is purely for sound clips at different ranges of rpms.

The exact same block doesn't do anything. The block is essentially the same as any other 2.0L.

the turbo is MUCH smaller and not a twin scroll. The internals break about 200whp earlier than on the Evo. and the valvetrain is SHIT compared to the Evo valve train.

The block in the Evo is the Betta or Alpha block which is created by Hyundai, the B18 Block is NOT the same as the 2.0L Hyundai block just because its the same displacement.

Theres actually more similiarities then just the block. The heads are basically the same as well, except Mitsubishi fitted different valve trains and its intake and exhaust is VVT versus GC's VVT intake. So the building blocks to an engine is the same, but some, NOT ALL internals are different. I know you stated some of what I just said but you, make it seem like the block is the only thing thats the same.

@mrdiaz0108 the reason why you see that with the 2.ot is because its a watered down evo x motor so the parts are easy to find and nothing really needs to be custom made ... but the v6 is hyundai's own motor with a bmw transmission ... both cars are great

@mrdiaz0108 That's because the 2.0 is a GEMA engine while the 3.8 is Hyundai's own engine. Out the package, it's the 3.8. When it becomes to modifying, the 2.0 already has a great start while the 3.8 needs to be explored for its limits.

My friend works at a dealer ship and we pulled the silencer and air box off threw an aem dry filter on it sounded amazing. The bov is really loud but with the silencer on you can't here it because it's integrated into the compressor housing. You can also here the turbo spool its amazing.

i personally have a 2.0t. and ive had it since last august. i have an atp turbo and this exhaust. as well as cold ram intakes and some other things i have dont that i dont feel like going into detail about. but that exhaust sounds incredible. it feels like it has almost doubled the upper gear torque. i havent done a dyno test yet. but its on my list of shit to do. buy this exhaust. even if you dont have a car. its shiny

We've also built hybrids from BetaI-II with 4G63's. Were currently building a 4b11 AWD genesis. Call up stefan at our shop.

Own a 2.0T, just installed a cold air intake. It dyno'd at 220 hp, 225 torque. Pretty cheap horsepower gains for $175. (+10 hp, +2 torque). From other research, adding freer flowing exhaust and an ecu flash gives 250 hp and 293 torque, without tearing apart or rebuilding the engine.

Stock numbers are 210 hp, 197 whp. For weight, the Genesis Coupe is consistent with other cars in it's class. A little lighter than the Mustang, for example, and 200 lbs lighter than a G35 Coupe (which granted, is a car with substantially more hp than the 4 cyl). It's about 600 lbs lighter than my Dodge Stealth.

Its not just the fact about being the same displacment, it literally runs the same block. An engine block that Hyundai gave/sold to Mitisbishi. Mitsubishi just took the block and fitted different heads, tuned, and turbocharged it.

Mitsubishi took the block gave it internals to stand up to a boosted engine (proper strength, not the pussy toothpick shit the 2.0T genesis is running) They then gave it a phenomenal valvetrain, a twin scroll turbo best suited for low compression 4 cylinder use, and mated it to and AWD drivetrain.
The exact same block doesn't do anything. The block is essentially the same as any other 2.0L.

@Trollensteinowitz from what I've read the only difference between the EVO motor and the genisis is some aluminum parts or the block itself is aluminum, all the internals are interchangable which would lead me to belive the motors are essentially the same, though made of different materials and heads and so forth... but dont want to start an internet batlle, just saying the general consensus is that the engines are pretty much the same.

the turbo is MUCH smaller and not a twin scroll. The internals break about 200whp earlier than on the Evo. and the valvetrain is SHIT compared to the Evo valve train.

Aston Martin does use basically the same engine as the Mustang. Ford literally gave that engine to Aston Martin and Aston Martin took what Ford gave them and made it better. Infact almost all Jaguar, Land Rover, and some Aston Martin engines use Fords powertrain and teaks it to their needs. The block in the Evo is the Betta or Alpha block which is created by Hyundai, the B18 Block is NOT the same as the 2.0L Hyundai block just because its the same displacement.

Theres actually more similiarities then just the block. The heads are basically the same as well, except Mitsubishi fitted different valve trains and its intake and exhaust is VVT versus GC's VVT intake. So the building blocks to an engine is the same, but some, NOT ALL internals are different. I know you stated some of what I just said but you, make it seem like the block is the only thing thats the same.

Um, no they aren't, The heads are VERY different, don't believe me? Call up Kenny Tran, if you're not wasting his time, which you probably are since he's a world class tuner/mechanic, he'll detail exactly what's different on the 2.0T vs. the Evo engine.
The crank may be the same, I don't know, but the IMPORTANT PARTS are.
THe block IS the same, you just said the valve train is different.
So block and maybe the crank..

This is half right, after this was written a shop tried and failed to transplant 4B11T internals into the 2.0T block.
Note he says there's little reason for them not to fit, and I agree, there is little reason, but that doesn't mean it can happen
The fact that the parts are different doesn't mean they can't fit, the open-deck does that.
