Attend a TEA party wearing FairTax garb, waving FairTax signs, and handing out FairTax info cards, stickers, and papers. Some TEA parties give or rent space for booths for conservative causes. I helped at a FairTax booth in Richmond a couple weeks ago, and one in Chesapeake a few weeks before that. With the current TEA parties, there should be plenty of opportunities to advertise the FairTax.

HR 25 (The FairTax Bill) is the most well researched and funded piece of legislation EVER to be introduced to the Congress. Don't tell that to MakeMyPower. He might use another brilliant cuss word to make his argument.

Dude, he's all over YouTube FairTax video's. He's been blocked from so many video's, I lost count. As to what's wrong with him... I think it's Obsessive-Compulsive disorder. Plus, he lives alone and doesn't have anything else to do. He drinks a lot and has a learning disorder also. A person doesn't rant irrationally like that unless they're on something. coferpatrick -- here is information. No research was done on this. Research doesnt mean writing crap that just confirms your own pet theory. Call up ten hospitals -- ask the head of each what they will do if they have to tax all their patients 23%. Ask 10 nursing home administrators. Ask 10 presidents of defense contractors. Ask new home builders. Ask if they will call their congressmen or lobbyist to arrange for exemptions. And thats just the start.

I get deductions for my child -- having him on my tax retun saved me about 300 dollars. It probably cost me 10,000 to raise him. I get 300 tax difference. So if I were just going by taxes, it would be insane to have a kid to get lower taxes.

If you go buy a house to get a deduction, thats crazy. You are probably in 10-15% income tax brackt. That means if you spend 1000 a month on interest for that mortgage, you would save about 100 dollars in taxes. So you just spend 1000 dollars to save 100. Of course there are other variables, but all other things being equal -- the 1000 a month you pay to get a 100 deduction, isnt good math.

I could write a tax code in four pages -- just tax all income types the same. Call income "income" and set a percentage.

It cant be just 23% - cause that 23 was figured first, to replace ONLY the income tax. But now, its supposedly going to replace FICA and income and cap gains and inheritance and corp taxes - all of those. For the same 23%. Thats insanity. And thats only the start of the insanity.

Sure kids who have paid little in taxes are looking to pass that burden on those who already paid high taxes over 30 years. This is a rip-off to retiring Baby Boomers who paid 1/3 of their income in taxes for 40 years. Every time Boomers buy anything with their lifelong after-tax savings, they'll be double taxed. And the 23% is a LIE it is a 30% National Sales Tax + X% local sales tax.

not true. they'll be getting their whole pension and not paying taxes unless they spend the money. and the 23% tax and 30% are the same thing. its just calculated differntly. 23% is inclusive and 30% is exclusive like most sales taxes are.

Why do Unfair-Tax people lie with wild claims that the prices on everthing you buy will drop by the so called "24%-embeded tax". Most of the things you buy are made outside USA and they will not drop in price. But if they stop with the IRS bashing and tell you the real facts only people with incomes under $15,000 or over $150,000 will support this unless of course your a small business owner who wants to make it easier to cheat on your taxes.

but businesses have to pay taxes on their profits. its called the corporate income tax. once that is gone, prices will go down. plus removing the burden of embedded taxes will bring prices down as well.

(for those who actually pay taxes) It's legal robbery....We are being taxed over 40 percent for most people. We are being double taxed all the time (which is supposed to be illegal. The government does not want the fair tax because they will lose so much power over the people they have right now.

The FairTax is monumentally unfair to retiring Baby Boomers. The government is not forcing you to by a house-you really mean you want to pay less taxes. Yes we all want to payless. But beyond the self-interest groups that our 100% certain they win...I worry this may be talking more taxes from those who paid high-taxes for 40 years on life savings to give to those who are young and saved little. And products made outside the USA (most products)will not drop in price.
