damn, this is such a catchy boss battle. its a different kind of epicness just for the sake of it being so energizing. love the use of clashing instruments. i think this can go on par with the best of the boss battles (perhaps, final fantasy...haha, maybe a close second)

Well, you know, I have the PC version, with graphics bugs of course, but the thing that disturbs me is that there is sound bugs too, and Grandia 2 is the only game which I love the OST without doing the game.

Even though you asked a year ago, I think it's fair to weigh in for those who are thinking about this game: it is an imensely well-delivered narrative, with townsfolk who have (at least for the time of release) an impressive amount of additional dialogue to absorb. The battle-system is dynamic and compelling enough to feel a step ahead of most JRPGs, ultimately making its contemporary FF games feel extremely easy in comparison. Low points? Not much exploration, and highly limited back-tracking.

Ah, the Zera Valmar fight. I always liked the irony in Zera's name... You know, Pope Zera Innocentus. I loved this fight for multiple reasons.

One: You're beating the hell out of a super-powered demigod.

Two: Said super-powered demigod is spouting off the phrase 'I will reveal the power of GOD!'

Three, and most importantly: The ungodly awesome music. Seriously, this is some of the best final boss music out there.

It was the last Sega console on the market after the Sega Saturn. Came out a year before the PS2 but ultimately failed like many other Sega systems unfortunately. It had some great games like Grandia II, Powerstone 2, Soul Calibur, and Sonic Adventure 2. Thankfully most of the Dreamcast's good games were ported to other systems :)

To be honest, I thought 3 was a load of crap. Especially after the masterpiece Grandia II was.

The voices were horrible, the story left much to be desired, and the little battle cries were the worst I've ever heard. No, scratch that. Skies of Arcadia had worse battle cries that consisted of "Moons, give me strength!" , "Hyuuuuuuuuuurgh!" and "Generic Name of Move!" (I still love SoA, though.)

But, this is all in my opinion. 3 didn't live up to my expectations. ;_;
