The banks S10 is using a road race engine. Banks will be running a NHRA Top Diesel Dragster with a 1,200 hp GM Duramax 6.6L diesel V8 in a Spitzer Chassis in 2009. The dragster is left unpainted. It looks really cool being all carbon fiber. Can't wait to see it compete.

yeah, the banks S10 is a pile of crap, buring pistons left and right. the schied rail though is one FAST diesel. it's well into the six second range now..

Scheid Diesel Motorsports' diesel dragster makes another mark in the record books. The fastest diesel dragster ran 203.71 mph in the quarter mile at the Muncie Dragway in Muncie, IN. Saturday October 18, 2008 the Scheid Diesel built dragster, sponsored by Silverline, ran 7.123 at 202.65 mph and backed it up with 6.908 at 203.71 mph.
