Well done....few mods from Thornley's original version but well adapted...
You really need that 12 string in open G to truly feel what Ian loved about playing and writing this song......open G on a 12 wire will mess you up, in a good way...wow
In other news: solid vocals man....whale'er....dont be shy...well done....
Challenge?.....Get "Come Again" done on acoustic...
I'm a huge Big Wreck fan and you did really great! Did a few Thornley and Wreck songs myself. My wife asked me to do The Oaf, so I looked it up and found you. Gonna be tough to compete with that dude :)
Hilarious to see Craigman's comment. I'd found his page last year to learn Hear About it Later and liked all his other covers and song picks. Every single one.
Then today I searched The Oaf and saw Craig again. Didn't think anyone else even knew this song. Only heard it once on radio 11 yrs ago. Awesome.
Good cover, Scott. I tried this song once (w/ delay, like Cathedral or beginning of Welcome to the Jungle (blagh!) but couldn't get it right. Your version's awesome.
VERY good, sir...I am thoroughly impressed
