what if the duplication and permanent ring effects glitch worked in skyrim, and you permanently had, like, a couple hundred rings like this affecting you? that be crazy.

@prounusisdiligio They're not supposed to. The ultimate goal is to develop potions that will boost your armor enchants permanently. So you take a fortify restoration potion, de-equip/re-equip alchemy enhancing armor, create more potions (restoration/fortify enchant/fortify smithing) then when you think you have a good boost, run to an arcane enchanter & then take the boosted fortify enchant potion & create your armor. Same for smithing.
@TEAMm0tatron you can get them from any alchemy store but the most consistent is probably Enthir in the College of Winterhold. He'll usually have 2 Daedra hearts for sale. If/when you buy them either go do some quests or wait 48 hrs so he'll restock.
@SimonsRandomChannel Hmmm, I don't have the ps3 version (although I have a ps3) but, after you took the fortify restoration potion, did you remove THEN re-equip your alchemy enhancing gear?

@iKnightX Yes, it has something to do w/ the process (@ least until the 1.4 patch since I haven't tested that specific condition but the alchemy glitch itself still works w/ the patch). The reason he's equipping/de-equipping is that the fortify restoration potion won't correctly recognize the percentage boost. Therefore, the solution is to remove your equipment & re-equip so the game thinks you're putting on *new* equipment w/ alchemy modifiers. THEN it re-applies the potion's effects.
@bigbeast920 you create them. At first you'll need to find an item w/ fortify alchemy on it (which can be a dungeon loot or store-bought item). Next, go to arcane enchanter and disenchant said item. This will destroy the item but will give you the fortify alchemy enchantment (which is far more valuable anyway). Decide what item you want to put the fortify alchemy on and then enchant away. I suggest a Falmer Helmet & a circlet since you can wear them both @ the same time.
@vinney251 Your alchemy doesn't need to be high but it helps. High alchemy stat means more effective potions and you need to craft less potions to get the same effect. Yes it will wear off but that's why you create 'fortify enchanting' potions. Once you have a high level fortify enchant potion, go to an arcane enchanter (make sure you have 'fortify alchemy as an enchantment), take the 'fortify enchant' potion, immediately start enchanting, create 'fortify alchemy' w/ item of choice.
Theres a easy way for pc gamers ,just open your console (type ' ) and tgm god mode .you are invencible thought none of your weapons will improve -_- ...

Wow, built up a bounty so high that even dog is scared to chase after you. Then you killed everyone who saw it like a friggin mob boss. What was that like a 200,000 bounty???
The thing people need to understand... this stuff can make the game super fun! If people want this to be "fixed" just don't use it. It isn't that hard to just not use it. @michaelkubasek1 Been playing on the xbox360 and lovin' every minute of it. However, I wouldn't recommend using these enchanted items* since they easily break the game, even on the hardest difficulty =( It's fun to mess around w/ but I ultimately put those items up for display only in my Riften home.
*except maybe fortify carry weight since I hate making multiple trips to dungeons/caves and I pick up EVERYTHING that isn't nailed down. I'd pick up bear traps if they'd let me. :D
It seems that ppl still don't understand the true purpose of using these potions. U use the boosted Restoration potions to enhance potency of other skill-altering potions such as enchanting...ESPECIALLY enchanting. Using a Restoration potion w/ 629% boost will result in creating Enchanting potions w/ a similiarly ridiculous % boost. Using the previously made Enchanting potions right b4 enchanting weapons/armor will, IN TURN, give those items 2920% (or something like that) boost, PERMANENTLY.
@7fireTDM Sure but it really doesn't matter past a certain point. Again, fun to fuck around w/ but gamebreaking. The novelty wears off when your dagger damage is 40810 and you have a value of -10234134130134 and can one-shot anything in the game including Alduin. =( I've personally capped all my weapons' damage to about 350-400 so I get a bit of a challenge. Again, all those game-breakers are put away for display only cuz, like Indiana Jones would say, they belong in a museum.
@watermight enchant fortify destruction in one single amulet at more than 100 % and you can use it for free .imagine now just enchant (same thing use those enchat potions at 3425966) in another ring with fortify illusion 253667% you will use this magics for free and so on circlet any peace of armor ...

True be told, you don't even need the fortify smithing potion since you can make an smithing armor set w/ permanent effect = 2 the potion (which only lasts for a little bit). But it really breaks the game. :/ So only use 4 fun.
204 is a normal damage for a daedric bow raised to legendary.. how much do you have in archery skill? however overpowering like this has no sense at all.....
I realize that you're using the potions to increase your enchantments, but I don't really understand how fortify restoration affects enchantments. Shouldn't it only affect your restoration spells? This is very confusing...

Okay, I didn't follow this at all, I need a written out version because I have no idea how the hell any of this happened. I probably won't do this but I'd still like to know how it's done, somebody message me with it explained, if you would be so kind.
Anybody know what the fuck is going on with this game? I'm carrying about 111 pounds total and it tells me I'm carrying almost double that at 218. I counted twice, I even took a lot of stuff off before. I know there are cheats around that allow you to carry unlimited items, but I want to do it legit my first way through.
This hasn't been working for me for some reason. It's just chugging along really slowly. I'm only getting about a 1% increase in restoration potion power every 20 times (drink potion, re-equip, make new potion). My game is not patched.
are there base requirements you have to meet? i.e. armor bonuses to alchemy being at a certain point? I've been trying this and my gear gets boosted on the first time around then every time after that nothing happens

@warhead213 He actually went VERY SLOWLY, making it very easy to follow along, just pause the video when he's making the potions. Or if you pay attention you should have figured the entire process out in about 30 seconds.

@MyzticFriend If you side with the Stormcloaks in the Civil War this fixes the glitch. That's the only way I've known to fix it, as it completely replaces all Markarth Guards with Stormcloak Guards.
I've beaten the game on master twice, with a conjuration/spellsword high elf and a sneak/dual wield/ smith/enchant argonian. The game is challenging but fun on master. You need a plan for ancient dragons and the right potion if you fight a bunch of casters. why ruin it? (i came here from a shouts page on a wiki, don't troll me)
Yeah I stopped doing this. It completely breaks the game. It's fun for a while, but then there's no challenge. My character went mad with power and just started killing everyone just for amusement, because there was no one left in the universe to challenge it's power.

@zbrooo He has armor enchanted to fortify alchemy, and enchantments that fortify a skill fall under the restoration skill, so by fortifying his restoration really high, he's making those fortify alchemy enchantments stronger.
@zbrooo because the fortify restoration is glitched, instead of fortifying restoration, it makes items that ur carrying stronger like ur armors enchantments stronger, & potions effects stronger for like a minute. Since fortify alchemy is the enchantment he has on his armor, that gets increased by using the potion. Then since the fortify alchemy gear becomes stronger that way, you can make another fortify restoration potion that's even stronger and so on. . .
the only problem with this is if you have a high armor rating and high health if you take that armor off you die.... i cant get into the thalmore embasy now. T_T
two questions. first: does this still work? i read from multiple people that they patched it. I have a game that was only patched with the 1.2 as far as I know. second: infinite dragon shouts? where?
If you are using an Xbox, remove the patches by clearing your cache (look it up on youtube as I forgot how XDD). That will remove all updates and DLC's, but now downloaded content. Be warned: you will have to reinstall all patches for each game you want to play after you do that. Personally, I don't patch often.
i cant get it to work, i equip my fortify alchemy equips, make de potion, un-equip, use the potion, re-equip, make another potion with the same material(red fish), un-equip again, use the potion and equip, make another potion with the red fish, but when i use it, it doesnt improve my equipaments, it lowers the %.
keep in mind that his will NOT WORK for most people since the potion is NOT stackable. If you use it multiple times it won't give any benefits therefore making this impossible.
Just wondering, does the glitched effect have the same timer as the real, intended effect of the potion? What I mean is, when the fortify restoration effect wears off after 60 seconds, does the increased alchemy also wear off? Or is the glitched effect "permanent"?

The only real issue is the ingredients**. Be sure to gather them all 1st before attempting any of this.
*suggested enchants: fortify smithing (seriously this breaks Skyrim), health regen, stamina regen, magicka regen, soul trap
**only 2 types required - Fortify Restoration potion: salt pile, cyrodilic spadetail, abecean longfin, small antlers, small pearl

This hasn't been working for me for some reason. It's just chugging along really slowly. I'm only getting about a 1% increase in restoration potion power every 20 times (drink potion, re-equip, make new potion). My game is not patched.

are there base requirements you have to meet? i.e. armor bonuses to alchemy being at a certain point? I've been trying this and my gear gets boosted on the first time around then every time after that nothing happens

I heard making fortify enchantments just means you don't have to go through the entire process of making restoration potions again.
As for fixing this? Why? People can choose whether to do this or not, it's not like this bug doesn't make for some hilarious after-game forging.

@warhead213 He actually went VERY SLOWLY, making it very easy to follow along, just pause the video when he's making the potions. Or if you pay attention you should have figured the entire process out in about 30 seconds.

@MyzticFriend If you side with the Stormcloaks in the Civil War this fixes the glitch. That's the only way I've known to fix it, as it completely replaces all Markarth Guards with Stormcloak Guards.

I've beaten the game on master twice, with a conjuration/spellsword high elf and a sneak/dual wield/ smith/enchant argonian. The game is challenging but fun on master. You need a plan for ancient dragons and the right potion if you fight a bunch of casters. why ruin it? (i came here from a shouts page on a wiki, don't troll me)

Yeah I stopped doing this. It completely breaks the game. It's fun for a while, but then there's no challenge. My character went mad with power and just started killing everyone just for amusement, because there was no one left in the universe to challenge it's power.

@zbrooo He has armor enchanted to fortify alchemy, and enchantments that fortify a skill fall under the restoration skill, so by fortifying his restoration really high, he's making those fortify alchemy enchantments stronger.

@zbrooo because the fortify restoration is glitched, instead of fortifying restoration, it makes items that ur carrying stronger like ur armors enchantments stronger, & potions effects stronger for like a minute. Since fortify alchemy is the enchantment he has on his armor, that gets increased by using the potion. Then since the fortify alchemy gear becomes stronger that way, you can make another fortify restoration potion that's even stronger and so on. . .

After that, whenever I'm in a spot of trouble, I'll just equip the ring and...I think you know what's next.

If you are using an Xbox, remove the patches by clearing your cache (look it up on youtube as I forgot how XDD). That will remove all updates and DLC's, but now downloaded content. Be warned: you will have to reinstall all patches for each game you want to play after you do that. Personally, I don't patch often.

i cant get it to work, i equip my fortify alchemy equips, make de potion, un-equip, use the potion, re-equip, make another potion with the same material(red fish), un-equip again, use the potion and equip, make another potion with the red fish, but when i use it, it doesnt improve my equipaments, it lowers the %.

keep in mind that his will NOT WORK for most people since the potion is NOT stackable. If you use it multiple times it won't give any benefits therefore making this impossible.
