  • That is some funky DIY ther :) thanks for sharing.

  • Nice DIY :D

  • That's epic. I never well do this seeing as how I wont be playing any games to over heat my laptop xD. Anyways, nice idea der dude!

  • un experto

  • nice does it still work

  • hmm, i have 3 cpu fans... possibilities possibilities...

  • wow, you work really fast xD

  • Ok i have a question. I'm interested how did you connect all the wires from all of these coolers in adapter

  • People always say 'theyre only 10 bucks' or 'with 20 bucks you can save a lot of work' - but I haven't seen any in stores for under $30, and most of the bigger ones for laptops over 15" are more like $40.

Not to mention, homemade ones are going to be more efficient.

  • with 20 bucks you can save a lot of work, but is a pretty cool video.

  • 97 Degrees! Holy S@!T!

  • Maldito copyright...................... porque no se quitan las ampollas lo de youtube

  • @Mr2pacLegend yeah but you can get more creative and show us all a better job carnt you?

  • why not just cut the circle for air circulation then screw the fans on?

  • It be easier to use a mesh casing then waste all that time cutting out that plastic stuff... plus you would get much more airflow..

  • cool

  • dude nice job man thats sick. you just made a good idea too lol

  • nice bro i need one of does lol

  • you need to clean your dan and heatsink and itll never get that how i know cus i ave a dell :)

  • the fastest people on the world

  • you woulda been pissed if that hadnt of worked.

  • 97ºC????? omg i have toshiba satelite a210 15k and i use 2 coolers

    when i use coolers:cpu 60 and hdd 28 ,

if i turn off the coolers :::cpu 65 and hdd 40 i think you have a problem with your laptop cooler

  • wow thats really awesome!! i need such a pad

  • nice work man! i have bought that how you are :)

  • Here's a tip ,I had ask about air flow, in the meantime i removed a cover on bottom of my laptop and found a heatsink , While looking at it i seen there was lint coming from between the case and the heatsink, i removed the heatsink to find a clog of lint so hard it was like felt. Not only did this show me the air flow direction but told me what my overheating problem was. i removed the "plug" of lint and replaced the heatsink, Now instead of 91.5°c it's running at 47.5°c. Hooray i fixed it.lol

  • I have an old dell b130 and it has a small vent/fan under the bottom, my question is, what way does the air flow, out of the vent or INTO the vent, it's hard to tell but i'am pretty sure the air is coming OUT of my laptop through that vent/fan. If this is correct shouldnt the fan on my cooler/stand be sucking the air OUT of my laptop and not blowing IN? Thanks ,Rob

  • Thanks for making this video, i've got alot of good idea's from it ,to use on my project. Yours turned out really nice. Take care and STAY COOL,,Rob

  • if you have ac window nit set it on that for a few minuts lol mine went all the way down on both cores to less than 10ºC

  • congrats, great job!

  • hi, my laptop allways overheats and it starts to lag a lot because of overheating. will this system work for me? i use programs that require performance...

  • i aint gunna lie. that is pretty cool. exept for the huge angle. i wud go a little less but i guess its to fit all the parts. nice work.

  • Awesome Job I like the Hard Rock Cafe shirt

  • i wanna buy that!! LOL

  • what was the name of the program you used

  • well done. that looked like fun too.

  • super nice :D i gonna build one self but dont now how :D i saw you video and think hmmm good idea with the plastick glass thing :D

  • GREAT JOB! u r so creative :)

  • meiby the fans gou the ater wai meiby

  • omggg man this shit is the best. good job man. your mom'a is gonna be proud of you lol

  • cool cooler.... dang, I just made a pun... Good stuff though, seems a little steep and large for a portable cooler though. I use hot glue for everything, I'm convinced it makes the world go round.

  • Looked very cost effective until you pulled out the hand vacuum...

  • Toshiba sucks right? cuz i also own a toshiba sattlite l310 and its very gay , its got no fan only a fan for the cpu so hot until it burnt my graphic card 2 times

  • Im very impressed. Most people who tried to make their laptop coolers dont know that if theres obstacles infront or behind the fan, it will not circulate air. Youve left enough room and the results speak for themselves. Nice vid.

  • dude u need a dremel tool... find a used one cheap...

  • it remains me almost to this fan.. you can move the fans to different positions.

    " Cooler Master NotePal U2 "

  • @FRURMELLL that's true after about a year you should always do that cuz heatsink gets blocked and paste gets dry..

  • thats creative mind ...

  • WOW Good Job!!!! I will pay you 100.00 for that

sag mir bescheid was passiert ist

  • @ichweisnichtwas USB gibt 5V und 0.5A ab, glaube nich das sichda ein 25cm luefter dreht. ein 12cm luefter braucht schon 12V und 0.3A

  • Nice build, great music.

  • on almost every laptop the reason is the BIOS. It is configured so that the fan only kicks on when the CPU temps reach a certian point to conserver battery power even if the laptop is plugged in. On rare occasions you can go into the BIOS and change the temp/fan configureation. so really your cooling your laptop and your laptop isn't doing a thing.

I buypassed this by rigging a USB through to the fan so the fan always gets 5V, it never gets warm.

Also people forget to blow out their laptops.

  • Dang man thats nice work you should make me would id pay for one of those

  • this is truly an anazing video :D

  • Wow, I Wish They Selled These Things In Stores, I Would Buy One

  • They do. I was searching for a review on it and stumbled on this video. It only has dual fans though.

  • By the way, AWSOME cooling contraption you have there....looks like it works wonders with cooling your system down!

  • nice tutorial, nice work, 5 stars, best video i've seen so far..

  • Nice work. Have you worked on varying the design or thought of marketing these at all?

  • wow my connection sucks, i cant wait to load this video so i ask ahead

so 3 fans, u hook em up to 1 usb ?

  • They are all conected to a battery

  • i definitely have to put 3 fans on mine. and yes, the fans should be more on top, not like most of coolers on the market... that's why we customize, right? )

maybe also some 2 or 4 usb port hub gadget...

next step: i really want to make one in carbon fiber :D money...money does anyone wish to sponsor this? :D

  • You would burn yourself if you touch 55°C metal tbh so i'm pretty sure you're talking about fahrenheit .....

  • ya its tellibng you the temapture of the cpu and the internals not the outside meatl, so ya when my computer gets to 96 celsius, it hurts, i was running crysis on one of my old ones and the plastic on the laptop melted, thats because i left and accidentally left it on, watev, it was time for an upgrade, maybe one that wont melt...

  • You would burn yourself being anywhere near 97°C so, yeah. Probably.

  • Nice the transparency of acrylic...

Nice the wire makes some kind of frame, however, it might be quite tricky if you wish to substitute fans...

The angle for typing seems quite steep but it might be quite efficient for temperature purposes.

i'm a fan of glue also, but didn't use on mine anyway.

    congrats!

  • Thanks for your opinion! Yours is very good! You had better materials!

  • Not a big fan of the steepness(Personal preference), but sleek design. How do you check a laptops temperature?

  • I had a program that had a lot of information, the energy , temperature of cpu, etc! But i lost it and i forgot the name, but you can search, there's lots of them!

  • @DiogoOliveira "SpeedFan" is a program which shows your GPU and Core temperatures as well as being able to controll the speed of your internet fan.

  • @DiogoOliveira The name of that program is: Core Temp. ;)

is shows you the temperatures of the CPU and all cores :), llows you to set up an alarm to protect from overheating :)

Gues thats the one you need?

  • @FunkkkShawn you can use speed fan.

it shows temperautres. and can also control the fanspeed, but only if your bios supporters it

  • wow coooooooooooooooooooool

  • LOL HAND SAW!!!

  • 97°C? wow

  • i was about to say that..

  • I'm pretty sure he meant fahrenheit not celsius :P

    97 F makes about 36 C

    55 F is 12 C

  • I'm pretty sure its in celsius!

This is a toshiba and i have an ATI radeon, both brands are the ones that heat the most! 36 ºC would be a miracle!

  • cool

  • what's the title of this song??

  • check INFO!

    superstar - lupe fiasco

  • the battery pack was slick. I think the overall size could use shrinking, and a sheet of acrylic on the bottom for using on your lap and not just table tops would be nice too.

  • s slam this tight lil ass =]? G

  • Bello, molto utile...

  • lets chat

  • Cool

  • very nice :)) good job dude.. ^^

  • plus it prouduce more air if u put it in a 5v or 12v adapter. ill post a me making me colling pad for my FX laptop.

  • Err...Dude! How can u stand the noise? (3 big fans!!)

  • The power you get out of your usb is only 5 v, so the fans will run a little slower, and sometimes you'll need to start them with your finger, but it works sweet and does not create more heat!

  • does it blow air in?..or blow how air out?

    i can never tell..

  • it blows air out!

  • ahh i see..thanks =]

  • the angle the keyboard is at looks uncomfortable

  • great work

  • very nice cooling pad, but to me too much of work and lot of materials used. I would rather buy one.

  • Wow. You really are a genius. That is an AWESOME laptop cooler. Congrats man. That is one wicked stand. I want to buy one from you. But use four fans. (why didn't you use 4?) But you made one really nice stand. I can't say how cool I think that is. I really want one.

  • I used 3 fans because I only had 3 old fans! Its all made from old and recycled material!

  • Hey hey hey. Did you not see the congrats and stuff. This is a great video. You have a talent. This is something you should sell. I was just saying, if you could, add an extra one. That is all. (if you think I was calling you out or something, my bad.) You did a great job. But my Eee doesn't need a stand and my HP notebook is dead.

  • LOL, relax, I never thought you were saying that.I was just answering your question.Cheers!=)

  • brilliant

  • 97ºC!!!!!

Where are you recording that temp from?

Thats almost hot enough to freaking boil water!

Great 100% necessary diy project because 97ºC will destroy your components in the computer after a while.

  • I have this software that gives you a lot of information about your laptop, including the temp!

You can find it on the internet for free i think: "notebook hardware control 2.0"

  • step 1: make more

    step 2: ?????

    step 3: sell product

    step 4: profit!

  • they allready sell them!Ones that probably work better than mine, and are cheaper than mine! But thanks

  • Nice Job ( Top Man ) 5*****.

  • very interesting!

  • the only thing I probably would have did differently is had the part where the laptop sits have all the holes in it so then you could angle it lower. Then have like the 3 fans all in a row in the back panel. So it would almost be like an air hockey table.

  • nice work!

  • I have the TOSHIB Satellite!!!

  • That's really cool man. Do you have links to anywhere I can get info on heatsink wiring so I could do this myself? Cheers

  • very nice! i also made one but yours is soo much neater! I achieved great results with mine though, the CPU was 50 before and now it stays at almost room temperature 29 degrees!!

  • 29 degress room ? WOW

  • very nice tutorial, but where can u get fans like that?

  • you can buy them in a computer stor, even FNAC has them.Or remove them from old pc's

  • How much $ did you spend?

  • I didnt buy anything to built it.But no more than 5 € in material.

  • I got 1 from ebay $2.50 + $3 shipment. It even has blue LED's in it. How long did it take you to make your's. ;-)

  • 2 or 3 days

  • how do you make it work when the air cant get in the laptop?

  • actually those fans work backwards, i mean, they suck the heat out of the laptop!

  • when you put the windows on again the fans dosent work its the same if you hold your hand under the laptop so the air cant get in? the hot air comes out from the side for the most laptops

  • lol.

    It works!

  • very nice man! i am planning to make one myself soon but it will no way be as good looking as yours, im gonna just gonna put the fans into some ugly cardboard box but dont really care as long as it does its job lol

  • Now thats creativity!

  • how many amps each fan requires and whats the required voltage of each fan? thanks

  • I really dont know!hehehe

Those are really old case fans.

  • lol..okay anyway nice work there :)

  • Not bad, but I think the angle is a bit extreme for me. Those look like heavy duty fans. Does it make a lot of noise? I got a cooler from China that has blue neon on it, and it seems to keep the laptop cool, but it is USB and may create extra heat. I wish there was an AC option for it.

  • I should have chosen a lower angle, but I got used to it now!Actually, it feels good to have the screen infront of you instead in a lower position.

The batterys from the vacuum cleaner are old, so they dont suply a lot of energy, that makes the fans work slower than they would with a normal suply of energy, which makes them very quiet, but still exaust the heat!

  • Nice little box man! Maybe I should talk to you about some plans I have for a docking station. I have a Toshiba satellite X205 SLi3,... so I'm sure our ideal setup would be very similar.

looks great, I really like your work. Mind if I copy? =>

  • Its very nice to know you like it!

Ofcourse u can copy it.Make sure you put on youtube when you finish it.

    Good Luck!

  • certainly will,.. killer track by the way,...

  • ? how does the air go through you glued glass over the fans..

  • obviously you didnt watch the whole movie!

Check 0:50 and 1:39, i hope it helps!

  • wow...I really want to make my own laptop cooler now!! seems like a good way to kill some time while still having fun on doing something you like.

I really liked the song too!

  • Pretty cool that you could pull this off :P

  • Nice video!

I got some serrious problems with my laptop myself especially while playing games on it. really inspiring video, i think im gonna build something like that to my laptop. great song btw :)

  • Thks a lot!

When you do it post it on youtube!

About the angle.I use the inbuilt keybord too and i think is pretty much the same!

  • its easy.

The vacuum cleaner already had a cooler.you just need to disconnect the wires from that cooler and connect to the other coolers.Black with black, red with red.
