  • I did this exactly and it didn't work

  • @guitarteen101 try and make sure youve got all your wiring correctly and see if your neone lights are actually it could be faulty, or if not your not getting enough power into the neons

  • okay I get how you connect it...But What if U Have the Beat sensitive Neon Lights I have Two 12in ones And They stay on no matter what i do once i start my car they stay on Completely So once I hook Them To My Bass how Will It Work they Have The Sensitivity Control on Them

  • @2REALOfficialPage If youve got the sensor thing theres no point connecting it to your speakers your better of just keeping it the way it is. This only works for neons which dont that dont have a sensor on it.

  • dam thats sick im totally gonna try that out asap

  • do you connect the white stripped one to the red or black cable?

  • @lagerson White stripped :S try and find out if your white one is negative or positive when you find that connect it to the appropriate connection so either the positive outlet or negative outlet.

  • @lagerson the wires vary from different systems my striped 1 went to my black 1 and vise versa

  • where you get those neon lights?

  • @sIGHTcss hey man you can get the neons from any Auto Shop =)

  • how do you connect it when you have 2 leds

    won't it blow up?

cuz they can't handel so much volt i think :/

  • @sIGHTcss hey man the led's wont blow unless you blast it to full then it will blow but just on medium it should be fine =)

  • how do you connect it when you have 2 leds

    won't it blow?

  • @sIGHTcss i replied to that underneath =)

  • how do you connect it when you have 2 leds

    won't it blow?

  • @sIGHTcss hey man it wont blow on a led either. and when you use two the power will spread out evenly to the both of them =)

  • what i tried this and didnt work : ( how come it works with u

  • @pancho2055 hey man are you sure the Neons work? Also Check if you connected the wires correctly and see if your getting an appropriate ammount of power from the speakers =) if that doesnt help post another message but i hope this helps =)

  • i use pc led light but it doesn't work..please tell me..why?

  • @getale hey man im not too sure havent done it yet with a PC so try and double check if youve connected your wires correctly. If not you can get those PC neons with a sensor on it that does the same thing. Hope this Helps mate =)

  • where can you get those at

  • @The333Mak you can get them at any Auto shop :)

  • nice vid

  • so if i didnt want to blow the neon light by turning it up too much, should i go with higher voltage light?

  • best putting a fuse on it just in case

  • does it work with any speakerrs ??? and can you switch them off or they constantly on all the time ,?? Wb .

  • I've done the same exact thing with l.e.d.'s in my custom systems. Neon is a better idea because it has less ability to fry when high current runs from the bass.

  • ha. Thats a really cool idea. Thanks

  • hey thnx man its sick

  • light off = no sound: meaning there is no electricity going through the wire

light on = sound: meaning there is @ least 9volts of electricity going through the wire

the neon pops because its receiving more than 12volts of power (ie 24v system) it can only handle 24volts of power before it over loads & explodes.

so in conclusion when the voltage spikes (bass hits) the light comes on when the volume is low or there is no bass the light stays off. i hope that explains a little bit for yall

  • So can i connect the - and + wires from the neon to my car subwoofer terminals with the wires coming from the amp?

    also will anything blow?

  • umm if you crank the volume up 2 full blast you will blow the nenon sozz for late reply mate

  • thats sick maan i neva thought of doing that ill give it a try tho!!

  • use led lights it is better

  • hey can u help me out .. ive got a 750 watt power supplie. with a 2 channel 500 watt amp (250watts each cannel) and a pioneer vccs car sub wich is 600watts peak power .. around that much eny way. i ve got this huge led light its got 24 leds in or summat its blue

i was wondering were 2 connect it and will it blow ?

  • definetly dont connect it to the amp.all neons are 12v. 250 watts will blow the thing to bits even cause to blow a load of fueses.

Did u want it to flash or just stay on?

  • i did the exact same thing. but it didnt work...

  • try putting the volume up

  • i tried that but still nothing...

    thanks any ways dude..

  • sorry mate if it didnt work

and sorry for the late reply

  • i done this before with pc neon it work cool this time i done it with leds

  • its simple theres not enough power wen bass is poppn so the light turns off and on morons

  • hey wouldn't the NEON light eventually burn out?!?! from turning on and off after awhile I'm not trying to diss your video I'm just wondering because I wanna do this to my system and I'm just wondering if it's a waste of time buying a neon to light up in time with the music??

  • if u dont put the volume on full blast it wont blow mynes been working for over a year now.

  • yeah alright thanks mate I'll keep that in mind to not to put it full blast =) thanks heaps!

  • lol omg nice

  • i cant get this workin ive connect the red speaker cable with the postive neon cable to the positive on the sub n the black to the negative. I have the exact same neon. any help???

  • umm try turning the volume up heaps and see.

if it doesnt work leave another comment

    cheers

  • so bugger off coz u dont do any off the above let alon even install anything like that

  • My Dad Has a diploma in mechanics and in autoelctrician He is a Lecturer at Central tafe so im pretty sure i come from a background lik that. i dont even go to cadets anymore i cbf changing about me im doing a traineeship with the airforce where im a electronice engineer Also i do have an evo 8 that was my 16th birthday gift from my parents So how bout you actually go an install a sub and amp coz i have a freakin 4000W amp powering two Alpine R types whcih i installed with my friends.

  • No i aint an autoelectrician im an electronic engineer in the australian airforce working on multimillion dollar jets. I also own a Mitsubishi evo 8 which is an autosalon show car. So i think i would know much more than you but you are correct with your theory.

  • it may not work for u because u didnt follow the instructions but take a look at the other comments its worked for every 1 else and it doesnt blow your subs coz the neons aint powering anything. Have u even tried to do it?

  • something else pretty coll ius if you have neons under you car is you wire them to your turn signals the only come one at night when you have your headlights on but when you put you turn on then like the left and the front will blink and back and right for the other its prertty cool

  • if u turn up da volume light flashes more but u can burn dat shiit too because of too much power

  • Very Cool

  • where can u buy the lights i cant find them anywere(walmart)

  • from any car shop

  • i bought 2 10 dollar led tubes from wal mart and hooked them up to my amp in my jeep its 750 watts connected to my car battery so its 12v the lights flashwith the bass perfectly thanks for the help bud it looks great in my car

  • i have questions.. is this thing only aplicable for NEON lights.. NEON lights works fine for me.. but when i put the 2nd light... (light comes from CPU fan..) within 10-15 secs.. my SUB woofer puffs out smoke.. and FUCK... my sub woofer is messed OUT,.. any Help guys??

  • yo hey bud mm not too sure aye how to solve this case. Lol umm maybe somone who ever watchs the vid may actually know better than me sozz if i cant help you bud.

  • this blew my neon lol, pop! then smoke, amp was too powerful for it

  • tru with amp part but also it culda happened if u increased the volume too much which means too much power is amplifed into the neon.

  • Hey again man

yea i got it to work

i split my wires later that night and it didnt work at first

so i just turned up the volume and it started to flash

    thanks for the help man

  • hey man i was wondering if i can get a little help

see my sub woofer doesnt have sockets on it, so i tried taking the sube wires and twist it with the neon wires, and i didnt seem to work. also my stereo doesnt have sockets to connect the wires, its actually a plug

    can i get some help

    please and thank you

  • hey buddy umm i really dont know how to solve this 1 aye coz the onli way to do it is to make 2 little gashes on the wire which has the plug connecting to the sub and then soldering it together. But i highly dont recomend u do this. Coz things which have plugs on it also have a 3rd wire inside and if u solder the wrong 1 ur whole system will be scrwed. Hope this helps. if not comment back and ill get back to u asap.

    Later bro

  • i love that song best made

  • hey Luminda plz help im not sure wat im doin rong but i tryed useing the sub and speaker connection n i cant get any flash of the slightest wat do u think im doin rong????

  • yo mann umm what sort of neon is it lik voltage and did u connect the red and black neon wires to the sub woofer only. also try and see if u can put ur suystem on pure bass only coz thats how u can tell if u are getting any voltage throuh the speaker

  • hey its 12volt and its blue 15inch neon (just a cheap £1.98 thing) there isnt a red n black there both clear but i tryed it bout ways n both in to the sub connecion n in the bk of the speaker i wouldnt no how to put it on pure bass(its bassy enough lol) the only thing i can think of is to turn it up?

  • hi Luminda will that work on my bush 5.1 surround system ???? it i pu it on my central speaker?

    thx dave

  • yo yea itll work but for more performance subs are the best but u still get desent lighting on ur centrals

  • ok kl thx man

  • hey man thats kl i would never think of that but im gona do it wen i get my pay lol

just one thing will it work in a car if i put them on to 6 x9s or will i need the amp aswell??

  • yea mann ittl work on 6x9 u dont need an amp otherwise it wont flash

  • can you do it with any speakers or just the subs, thanks. and good job on urs

  • yo sozz for late answer but yea u can do it with any speakers but to get optimum performance connect to subbs

  • question: if you were to plug the neg and pos to a sub, it would flash to the bass right???

  • yep

  • I have one for the pc but it doesnt work when i plug it into my sub...plz help

  • How did you connect the neon light to the sub?

  • Snoop Dog - Riders of the Storm (((NFS Underground soundtrack)))

  • cheers man ...what did you say the song was ???

  • Riders On the storm Ft Snoop Dogg

  • cheers

  • cheers man ...what did you say the song was ???

  • your from aussie! lol

  • yeah mann im in perth

  • use a tip31a transister instead. they work at a lower volume

  • ohh ok i didnt know that where do u get them from

  • you can get them from radioshack

  • cheers mann

  • it does work i made a video 2 its easy u just have to crank it up alot

  • ok i will teach u an easy way (AMP ONLY!!) ok u can connect the red neon cable to ur REM cable and the black cable to ur ground.

  • doesnt work, you need a 12v power supply, i dunno how the hell yours worked unless the power to your sub comes through the speaker wire im stumped, my subwoofers power comes from a separate line and im not about to mess with that

  • nah nah mann it does the only way it turns by when u put the volume up there is no 12v power going to the neon the only powere that lights it up is the sub woofer speaker cable and my sub doesnt even have a power pack its all done by the home theater system i think maybe if u put the volume up it should work but dont put it up 2 loud or ull blow ur light but that hasnt happened yet to me hope this info helps

  • oh yeah, my subwoofer has a separate power cord from the reciever to the sub but i dont wanna tap into that power cus it will definatly draw from the amp to it and could mess it up but im just gonna get an audio sensitive one, you should definatly go with those

  • hey man is dis shit really real bout it coz i wanna do it can u do it with a comp sub?

    shit bak when u can

nd can u leave da neon on with out it flashing

  • lol yea its real um i cant leave it on not flashing and u cant do it on a computer sub unless u want to rip out the bak of ur comp sub which i dont wanna do but it does work

  • do u have an email dat i can tlk to u on bout dis ?

  • but can u do please another video whit more light please ?? i can t see nothing sry thanks very much if u put another video contact me thanks very much bye

  • yea sure mate ill do it when i get home when my parents arent home if u subscribe to me it should come up onto ur comp that i hav posted the new 1

  • ok thanks very very much but do u add the neon at stereo or at the boxers ?

  • u add the neon to the back of the sub woofer where the red and black sockets are if thats not the answer just leave another comment and ill get back to you

  • yo where do u get them from?

  • you can get them from like supercheap auto and car shops that sell motor oil n stuff but in aerica its the same ud hav to go to a car shop.
