I really wish this guy was a revered as Steve Vai or Yngwie, he's easily as skilled as those guys, but to me, has infinitely more feel for the instrument, and what he plays is so much more musical. personal opinion i know, but i really wish more kids would get into this style, everything seems so shred-oriented now.
@kitano0 Now that i think about it,maybe Billy Gibbons could hold his own against Brian.I heard Bonamassa was invited last year.He can definitely give Brian a run for his money. But the rest...
it is a gretsch 6120 hotrod custom. however he modded it further. he personaly pinstriped the body and if i remember the back is pinstriped with flames. he has also remover the tone cap switch from the top completely, which has has been doing for a long time. as tv jones used to be his guitar tech, the pickups in that guitar are also wound to exact spec. i agree it is an amazing instrument, i have tried out one and it blew me away wit both tone and build quality
This guys totally cool. It's kind of funny but I delivered pizza to him a couple of times in the early 90's. Me a struggling musician and he (as I said) was always cool to me and tipped good too.I'll never forget that. Totally down to Earth. Right on, Brian Thanks
anybody heard of denny scott. he owns naples park music in naples florida. that guy can go for miles on the shread mill. brian setzer is definitely a bad ass, if you get a chance to check out denny scott. do it
A lot of guitarists only play one or two geres of music. Not this guitarest. He can
play at LEAST six. Not just playing average, he's mastered every single genre of music that he played. That is why I think he is the best guitar player in the world.
But he doesn't get recognized because for some stupid reason, the modern day music world is only interested with people that has no talent.
@comicozy87 Well most of the world commonly recognizes a commercial style more than anything. Some people just don't know what the fuck actual music is.
I just would like to know what full chords is he doing in this video? I just bought a Sea Foam Green with Silver Sparkles from a friend of mine for $100.00 it's a 5126 I love it!!! among my other 7 diff. guitars i have. please e-mail me or go to my page at espdestroyer. Thank you Brian is truly the greatest I'm 36 and the first time i heard him i was in the 4th grade. Stray Cat Strut, and i'm still trying to learn that song, i wish i had the TAB!!Thanks Brian . Jason D. Decker USN SeaBees
oh man is he good... Example 8... wtf? Been playing 25 years, and I'd have to study that for weeks to even comprehend it, much less play it... I really hated Stray Cats back in the day... but it used to piss me off that I couldn't play his solos...
there are tons of shredders, and almost noone chooses to play like him, i wonder why.. this oldskool style along with contemporary influences in soloing is just awesome. genuine master of guitar
Because most shredders spend all their time and energy developing their left hand and their tremolo picking. Take away their pick and they usually can't even play the guitar let alone use their right hand this well. We play with both hands....!
are you kidding me? Look at buckethead and Michael angelo batio and Oli Herbert. Seriously. U know how much skill and precision it takes to play like them?
Who was talking about thos specific players? I for one love Buckethead. Most "shredders" cannot play like Biuckethead. And from playing in bands for 20 years and I have know dozens of guitaists who would impress the hell out of you "shredding". Then I've seen them with an acoustic and no pick and they could barely play the damned thing...
....and they call Clapton God? Brian is by and far the best guitarist of his generation.
