  • Whenever we say "we went to the moon." we should be saying "Thanks to nazi scientists, we went to the moon "

  • @optimus8288

Yeah the 10,000 American engineers and scientists working on all the systems development had nothing to do with it, it was all because of a couple of Nazi Scientists, they did it all by themselves.

    Idiot.

  • @DiscoveryNetworks what's the music on this?

  • Can anyone tell me what the music is on this clip - it's brilliant!

  • I was there that night. I might even be in that film. It was an awsome and emotional experience. The sheer ordacity of those times to build a rocket hundreds of feet high and weighing 3000 tons.

I am sorry the hoaxies cannot comprehend it but it all happened. They can beleive what they like but this really was a triumph for 1960s technology.

  • I watched this launch from my backyard in Titusville, FL. I was 9 years old. Still can't believe how much light was created by the Saturn V when it left the pad. It was like daylight, much more so than the Space Shuttle launches at night.

  • Moon landings were fake. They actually landed on the sun.

  • song?

  • @99thmonkee ...that was Laura Jeans toaster there buddy boy....some call it a back yard landing 2 or 4 bay toast unit however both you n eye No u r a pint sized candle wax eating, paste licking maracroni rubbing non underware wearing philanthropic flying dollup of boiling green cow shit that spewed forth from a diseased cow named Bess-ita which translates as "Dilapidated Prick" however you verbally crashed through the window of embarrassment in a "right person to ask" kind of way there charlie.

  • Anyone know of the body they found in space? I tried researching it on the internet, my school's astronomy library but I cant find anything about it. Help plz

  • @ErikRevolution No bodies have ever been found in space unless you are talking about planetary bodies.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJomogogo A Body?! NAH...

  • the last mission ,what a shame we never returned to the moon,in 2019 we will celebrate half a century since the first lunar landing and I am convinced we won't be able to land back in the next 50 to 80 years because of the economical issues.

The nutjobs and sickos are going to say that NASA never went back, why spend half a trillion dollars on weapons and military resarch each year and be reluctant to give a few billions to fund a return to the moon?

  • @99thmonkee i would want more protection than that if i were fooling around on my wife. i dont know 4 sure Nasa did the faking i think the monkeys in the control room were not in on any faking.oh well we will never find out the truth anyway.

  • You can't sail past the Van Halen belt, IDOITS!

    137%

    numbskull nutsacks!

    NEW WORLD ODOR

  • Excellent choice of music. Final and clinching proof that the space program does indeed rock.

  • @ScottZirpolo I am desperate to get hold of the music - do you know what it is?

  • @marklh1 I'm sorry friend I cant name it. I like it as well and can usually nail the guitar players but this one eludes me. It does sound late 1970's but I dont even have a guess, its not EVH:-p

GL and if you find out let me know please!!!

  • i love how people with no scientific back ground think they can prove anything, appearntly just searching on google makes you more qualified to explain space travel then an army of people with PHDs and countless hours studying science and space travel

  • Nice video but why the f****ing rock noise???

  • @openminded1313 because it is better than any other silly music you listen usually - get a fuckin' life (or death, whatever), your question stinks of discrimination, try to read your nickname and say it again, so we can call you "retard dumbass" once more!

  • @fetonicxXx Hmmm...I wondered why the double X in your screen name; then I realized that it means you have the chromosome "XX"- and that means you are a woman. Which explains your overly emotional response. I was raised not to hit women, though I would love to make an exception in your case.

  • lol...Now THAT was an excellent, calm and humorous response.

All you basically did was say you didn't particularly think the music they used was appropriate during the launch ...you even toned it down by blanking out most of the profanity, as far as feto's reaction I guess she could use a good talking to or at the very least a peanut riddled shit being forced down her throat at gunpoint...either way I thought you were very kind and restrained, have a great day

  • Speed it's all about!! Take me to the stars! No one can survive a trip to Alpha Centauri, ever!

  • I can

  • Jeez, look at those shockwaves starting at 0:29. An then remember that that rocket was more then 100 meters tall. Incredible.

  • i always thought apollo 17 was the most significant of all the apollo missions because of all the time they spent on the moon. 71 hours compared to the 2 1/2 hours for apollo 11, not to mention all of the indurance test that jack schmitt did to the spacesuit, that thing could take a beating!

  • That night flight footage gives me goosebumps! I love seeing the reaction of the crowd. I hope we go back to the moon soon.

  • Why build a new rocket (Aries)? Why not just revive the Saturn V?

  • Because the Saturn Series is half-century-old technology. Would you drive a car with 50-year old technology and systems?

  • i do

  • Most people do. And therin ;lies the problem. We are being artificially held in technological obsolescence, by Big Government and Big Business.

  • no thats not the case. i own classic cars because i love them. other than that i own a brand new truck..

  • because physics does not change....some things would obviously be updated but the basic outline and engineering were stunning

  • Physics and our understanding of it, and new technology that takes advantage of new levels of understanding happen everyday. You need to read science journals.

  • sound like you are all vary young it was a great time to be alive. but it all starts again 10-31-09. Aries 1-x the fist step back to the adventure will attempt its 1st lift off. its . Let the Adenture BEGAIN again

  • "Let the Adenture BEGAIN again" - Earth

    Amen to that, brother!

  • Why is it stupid to go to the moon? Man must explore! Have you ever heard about the mars rovers? One is stuck in the sand but they works, after 5 years! Give my kind regards to Christer Fuglesang and to NASA and to ESA!

  • this video has cool music. its stupid for man to go back to the moon.

And NASA plans have been put on hold.

    are you smarter than NASA?

  • @ftucyk No the moon is dry and has no exploration value. Mars is better.

  • @tlages I disagree. The Moon has large amounts of liquid water in the permanently shadowed craters on the poles, and great sums dissolved into the regolith across the surface, too. But it also has great exploration value, in that if the giant impact hypothesis is correct, the Moon is very geologically similar to the early Earth and by studying the Moon, a lot can be learned about Earth's history.

  • @Tyrannobeast I stand corrected. But I wont concede the point that going to Mars has a greater scientific value. If we could do both simultaneously it would be even better. But lets not ask the federal government to stop funding garbage to fund important things.

  • lol..this light hearted little ditty of music and the extreme auto contrast reduction don't do justice to the actual blinding brightness that must have occured...they typically show the lift off with sound starting at the same time however it actually takes 12 long seconds for the sound to reach the closest point you can get to a launch (almost 4 miles away)...this is perhaps the most shocking aspect to any Saturn V launch, it certainly scared the hell out of the late Walter Cronkite

  • all the other launchs were cool on video but i would have loved to have seen that one live.

  • Walter Cronkite spoke too much during these launches; as I recall.

  • Groovy chick in front

  • Roll program and this baby is really going!

  • it sure is an amazing thing to watch here with the space shuttles, it turns night into day when it launches

  • Apollo 17, The Only Night Launch

  • We're going back, we're going to colonize and work jsut like we have to work here. We're going to bring back the goods to make life easier here like we bring back the bacon when we go to any other job. Eleven years and counting: moon colony to begin the task of mining helium 3!

  • i bet you it will be sooner then 11 years, they already have the first version of the ARES rockets here at KSC.. and will be conducting a test flight within 2 years

  • right on, helium3 is the key to pebble bed nuclear reactors! We need them NOW!

  • The moon has valuable resources and lunar research pushes the envelope of technology and science. This means that our society is enriched by space exploration. Science can only move forward!

  • i know if we go to other planets we might find more resources that could be stronger than diamonds and let us fly to more planets or probably to different galaxies

  • awesome,...

  • Did the Saturn 5 travel faster during launch than the space shuttle?

  • The Saturn V initially accellerated more slowly than the shuttle. However, towards the end of the powered ascent, both vehicles would be travelling roughly the same velocity. The velocity to enter orbit is the same for both vehicles: about 17500 statute MPH.

  • Man, that must have been something to see. I wish I had been around to see it.

  • So, if it appears on the internet it must be true? After all, no one would dare publish something false, would they? As the late Dr James Van Allen said, "The recent Fox TV show, which I saw, is an ingenious and entertaining assemblage of nonsense. The claim that radiation exposure during the Apollo missions would have been fatal to the astronauts is only one example of such nonsense." Van Allen discovered the radiation belts that bear his name.

  • This is one of my favorite debunks!!

These conspiracy minded encephilatics use Dr Van Allens Radiation Belt to support their conspiracy case yet they completely disclude Dr Van Allens conclusions. Van Allen spent the last of his years arguing against these malicious rejects of science and knowledge.

Hard to believe that these nutjobs think they have overturned science, pretty funny stuff. Even my 13 year old understands the moonlandings with Jr high school science, LOL:-p

  • @guitarplayer4real Sorry to bother you. I like your comments. Given your user name, and the fact that you have watched this clip, do you happen to know what the fantastic background music is is?

  • Comment removed

  • rushlimbaughforum is a reliable source about the Apollo program? Okay, you want to believe someone like Bill Kaysing? Go ahead, because it shows how little both of you know about science. You want the world to believe that an airtight conspiracy of 300,000 to 400,000 people took place, that engineers would design and build technology without knowing where it was going. The so-called "hoax evidence" is evidence that you're being hoodwinked, nothing more.

  • I feel sorry for you then.

  • The internet is supposed to make you smarter, not dumber.
