I kept hearing alot about this show. Then I saw a couple of episodes online right before the start of Season 4.5 in January. I was hooked!

I bought seasons 1-4 on Ebay and agree with those who insist this is (was) the best show on TV. A few story arcs stand out. #1 the Miniseries that started it all. #2 The events on Kobol. #3 The Colonization, Occupationand rescue of the Colonists from New Caprica and the whole 4.5 story arc finishing up the series.

Your welcome. If you mean season 4, it was divided into two parts, the first one (season 4.0) was shown last year, from April to June, the second one or 4.5 it's now on air, from January until next friday, when they will air the two lasts episodes of the series.

I don't know why they decided to break up the show in Germany too, since now all the episodes are already filmed. Maybe you can get some information in the internet, there must be any web made by German fans and maybe they know more.

I don't think it was ever specified that they couldn't reproduce with each other. It also looked like they couldn't reproduce with humans until they fell in love. Maybe cylons can self-produce if they experience actual love love between one another. I'm curious if a unique model would be created or if it would be a replica of one of the two.

When Bill Adama crashed on the Razor planet, his "flashbacks" are actually his memories of being experimented upon. The Adama we know is a cylon "clone" of the original.

I'm just so sad it is ending this year... 4 seasons is too short (5-7 like B5, Lost, or some of the treks seems right) -- Even so BSG is made of the same stuff that made Dark Knight so popular this summer. Life isn't black and white, we like our villans to have a soft side, and our heros to have flaws (espically those they overcome). Sugar coated 1 dimensional characters are cyclial, perhaps popular in the recent past, but BSG has a hint of Shakespear flair woven throughout.

4 seasons is a decent amount for a series such as BSG.

A lot of TV shows with a central storyline are overly dragged out instead of concluding when they should.

Take Prison Break for example, they should have ended that show after the second season, they escaped, they ran from the law, and someone testified against the company, instea d they've dragged it out 4 years and counting.

I'd hate to see BSG dragged out with a bunch of filler episodes

The 5th cylon is Kara Thrace's mother. The Leoben cylons are modeled after Starbuck's father, who was captured by the cylons during the first war. Remember when Adama encountered him during that flashback in Razor? You see the original Leoben accompanied by an unidentifiable blonde girl, who is actually Starbuck's mother. That explains why Leoben and Starbuck have that strange connection. She is the first cylon-human hybrid. Her visions were inherited from her mother.

He went on to say that after a terrible suffering (simply put), both sides (which I assume means main faction cylons and rebel cylons) would join together in the promise land gathered on the WINGS OF AN ANGEL. I realized that the colonial symbol looks just like a pair of angel's wings. I wonder if this somehow means peace between all three groups at some point in the future. Just pondering...

what the hell? Well sure, D'anna's cool and a good character and all. But how can you possibly say that the humans got what they asked for? what did the children in the fleet do? Cylons were created before the time of most character's on the show, and the problem was simply dropped on their lap. at the very least, you can't tell me Helo is a bad character. He is a good officer, does everything he can do for his family, and doesn't discriminate anyone for who (or what) they are.

I think D'Anna is very human, which doesn't mean she's a good person (I don't think she's bad either, she's just SO crazy... poor thing!), but I love her and think she's the most complex and interesting character in the show. Helo is not a bad man, right, but I don't like him, sorry, as I don't like her wife, maybe because I go more with the cylons and consider her a traitor.

It's true most characters are just victims, but it's also true that HUMANS caused the war.

yes always the children. they are, after all, vital to humanity's survival. even the cylons want to procreate (well a lot of them do anyway). And also you are really over simplifying it. Humanity as a whole did not ask for what happened. Some people made mistakes, and humanity as a whole paid the price. Even some cylons (including D'Anna) decided that what they did to humanity was wrong.

These characters are the most human on television. They have horrible character flaws. They love and hate deeply, with equal passion for both spectrum's. No one is wholly good or bad. That's what makes them human. There is a difference between you not liking them and the characters being human. Maybe if you used better grammar/English we'd be more inclined to listen to your comments.
