I would have applyed the brakes first then turn. unless ur a profesional track person your first desion would never to brake. Brakeing in sometime not the best choice

Too fast round the blind corner caused the biker with no choise but to ride on the wrong side of the road. The car was already coming out of the junction by the time the biker came flying round the corner. BTW I'm a motorcyclist myself so I'm not being hard on the biker for no reason.

When our brains are under extreme stress, like the video in this instance, it has to make a decision in micro seconds and it is what's called the fight or flight reaction. This is where the brain decides to A. fight and react quickly, or B. flight, which freezes your body and you crash. luckily this guy stayed calm and decided to fight. Oh, and in regards to the description. This was 100% skill.

If somebody invades your lane when you travel at the speed of sound and you find yourself at the pearly gates you deserve it. I did some pretty stupid things on my bike too, that's why I'm saving money for some race track days next spring. In any situation like that, there's an element of luck. Had the car pulled out no more OR less than 1-2 seconds earlier or just that much faster, he could NOT have saved it. But it's clear that he had enough experience to trust his bike, not panic, and know how to react.
