Vladimir's dress is neither revealing or offensive. Springfield's representative is doing what school administrators typically do: give such answers as to deflect criticism regardless of whether it is deserved (which it is) and whether it is cowardly (which is also the case). I'm not so sure that Vladimir prefers to be called a "he." Has the reporter taken this into account? Knowing the Bible Belt mentality, probably not. Vladimir may already have a female name that hasn't been given here.

@namitsu1 I know this is a very late response lol but in any case, sometimes, regardless of outward appearance may be, the trangendered person may prefer to be called by their birth gender. As a transsexual (changing of gender physically) I preferred to be called by my birth gender until I myself got used to the whole idea of changing. Eventually the appropriate pronouns are preferred.

why would the mother of a transgendered kid not reconize her as a girl and use those pronouns, calling her a boy even though she is obviously out and in the right gender.. just thought if her mother knew and accepted it she would use the correct gender pronouns on national t.v. and in her own life.

hate to tell you gender is between the legs. a man or boy wearing womens clothing is very distrubing. to been treated equal you must be with the normal range. fars as im concerned they are asking for special treatment.
