Honestly, I've always had kind of an issue with the Romeo and Juliet play - I just think it's shallow how they knew each other for about three days and chose to end their own lives over it. However, I'm starting to see where the romance comes from, just by watching this anime's theme song - in a world full of chaos and hatred, the only solace is to give your sanity away to unrequited love.

Wow! It's kind of ironic that just last year in school, we read Romeo and Juliet! It was fun finally reading the original story. Now I'm watching it as an anime! Plus, a choir I was in a few years ago sang "You Raise Me Up"! <3

@TheAnimusification Well, I guess it also involve personal preference. Lot of people can't stand the absolute melodrama that the Original version bring to the table. At least this version brings a fresh taste to the storyline and originality. I mean who wouldn't love a fictional version of Romeo and Juliet. It's true that the original is already fiction, but it's realistic fiction and holds many real things in it. This show is pure fantasy from setting to people. It adds a nice touch in a sense.

@RavenACA3 Close, but no cigar. Princess Tutu has the same voice as Tenma and Chibi!America, but Juliet has the same voice as Haruhi (Ouran). No idea about Romeo, but it's hot and cute at the same time, don't you think so? XD

@StarlightSummers I like to think that the man with the scarred eye will be the "Tybalt" of this play as of now, since the real Tybalt may show up. If not then the scarred-eye individual may be the one to fight Mercutio later etc.
