  • Warning to all Captains and Commanders: Don`t try this with your Battlestar! This maneuver causes major damage to your ship. Use it only if you have no alternatives or if you want to end your career on a high note. ;-)

  • every single time i see it i get goose bumps :D

  • No bloody music dude, AWESOME! I thank you, a billion virgins in paradise for you Dude!

  • Thank you so frakin much man, no music = WIN!!!

  • What is the name of the them from this scene. and it is by far the best scene ever from BSG

  • @WanderingTimelord88 Storming New Caprica from Season 3 Soundtrack

  • Spectacular!

  • Probably one of the best Scifi moments of all time. I don't think Star Trek or Star Wars has been able to pull off something so gracefully.

You should try to rerecord in HD

  • this is the true definition of Bad Ass!!

  • Cylon 1:When was the last time they tried this maneuver!?

    Cylon 2: Never! They're insane!!

  • FUCK YES

  • If you don't believe robots can piss their pants, ask them about that day.

  • Best battle scene in the series. Fuck yes.

  • @adamaroslinfanatic SO SAY WE ALL!

  • don't you ever mess about with Thr Old Man

  • Pass the kleenex.

  • FRAK OFF ALL FROM ATMOSPHERE!!

  • It is good to find an unsullied upload, but is there one with the bit if dialogue preceding it. It needs to have Boomer say Adamas' back and the Cylons realise something is not right. Is this on here?

  • One of the coolest scenes in these kinds of shows!

  • @armondikov You sir, have just won teh internets

  • Best sequence in the series! only thing remotely close was on Babylon5 when the White Star opened a jump point in Mars' atmosphere.

    thanx for the clean upload.

  • When I first saw this I was like "wtf is going on!?" then when the order to jump was said, it all made sense. damn cool if you ask me.

  • There's an awful lot of that now isn't it? And what's this thing coming toward me very fast? So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like 'Ow', 'Ownge', 'Round', 'Ground'! That's it! Ground! Ha! I wonder if it'll be friends with me? Hello Ground!

  • @armondikov

    Dude... what.

  • 0:15 i don't know why but i find that intresting that they use colar pencles

  • The most epic maneuver ever!

  • I remember when i first saw this. My mouth was wide open and my eyes were out of their sockets. What a great sequence of filming and CG!

  • I came in my pants the first time I saw this.

  • Just as brilliant when Capt Marco Ramius turned into the first torpedo, closing the distance to smash it against the Red October's nose before it could arm.

  • Awesome!!:)

  • The Adama Maneuver.,

  • This is the single, greatest, most epic, scene I've ever seen in any television series, much less movie. The author definitely thought outside of the box in this episode, and I have to say it upset me a little when the people returned to the fleet that they weren't a little more appreciative of the suicidal bravado of Adama.

  • well... this was on my 30 day tv show challenge as the best scene ever. I thankyou for uploading it without some damn music on it!

  • I was so damn impressed by this first time I saw it, they couldn't have made this any more epic

  • My favorite sequence in all of tv sci-fi.

  • Was this on Earth? Did they make it to Earth or did they show get cancelled before they could get here?

  • @TonyN737 No this was on new caprica, and the show didn't get canceled.

  • I had a Level 10 Geek-out the first time I saw this.

  • That was just amazing! And thank you for no additional background music!

  • @starflame34 So say we all!

  • Is there a long version of the song you hear in the background at the beginning?

  • favorite scene in the entire series, but you've got to have a great sound system to fully appreciate it.

  • In the Halo Universe, the Covenant jumped above a city and the wave took the city with it. That much mast is going to generate a huge boom them it leaves.

  • man...this series is awesome i still watch it!

  • Doesn't beat the Riker manuever ;]

  • @Spectual1 and that was?

  • thats so fucking awsome

  • Exodus part 2 is my favorite episode of BSG. Just seeing the Galactica falling, launcing vipers, then jumping back out is so amazing. Then it just tops itself by having the Pegasus save the Galactica then destroying itself and taking out two base-stars. That, is how you make a great scene.

  • @NervXT it took out 3 basestars

  • @UndyingHunter1: In total, it took out 3, yes. I was talking about when it crashed into the second base star and the debris took out the third.

  • This is the real fucking Team Edward

  • @rmeddy1 So Say We All!!!!

  • Vanilla, yes, thank you. This took forever to find, and thanks for not adding anything, it's perfect like it is.

  • That's not flying! That's falling with style!

  • I just finished bsg wht a great series! This was one of the best scenes in tv history! I got chills when I saw this. Amazing!

  • Nice. The Galactica pulled a Macross.

aka low altitude jump or fold

  • Nice. The Galactica pulled a Macross.

(aka low altitude jump or fold)

  • Probably one of the coolest scenes in all of sci-fi. Great vid, thanks for keeping the original soundtrack and not adding some lame rock overtop.

  • That was the most badass moment of the galactica. But it also made the Galactica die slowly from small cracks across the entire hull.

  • @DSCCardon True but also slamming your ship into the Cylon colony is pretty badass too. :D

  • Probably one of the coolest moments in the series thus far.

  • About damn time we see an actual clip with no music covering the audio of the original. 5/5 / subscribe. Kudos to you poster for not ruining a perfectly good video clip with stupid music.

  • that makes the Picard Maneuverer look so weak.

    ...i have no life :(

  • @theawesomone Both are cool. :D

  • @theawesomone what is the Picard maneuver?

  • @UndyingHunter1 - Dropping out of warp a couple hundred meters from an enemy starship and firing all weapons at point blank range.

  • @darkguardian1314 ah. that is pretty cool

  • @theawesomone Technically, the Galactica isn't able to pull off the Picard Maneuver; although the same could be said of the Enterprise and the Adama Maneuver.

  • @UNspacycadet Well, to be fair, Galactica DID pull off the important part of the Picard maneuver in the last two-parter: Jumping into an enemys face and friring everything they had. The other part is just to lose a target lock of a superior foe for a split second, anyway.

And depending on how seriously you take the concept of warp drives... The Enterprise performing the Adama manuever might rip apart the planet beneath it. So it's possible, but not advisable. ;)

  • @theawesomone I agree.

  • @theawesomone no no...it makes the Riker maneuver look like shit!

  • But I'm still not sold on the series finale.

The first season was fucking awesome.

The second season faultered a bit.

The third season delivered the best 5 episodes in the franchise, and then proceeded to suck the rest of the way.

The fourth season did the best it could, and kind of brought it all together, sort of but not really.

  • Try watching it through again... I found on a second play through I realised I missed a lot of the important story bits that really tie the show's plot together... I loved it the first time round, but the on the second watchthrough it blew me away!

  • @TheDashRendar Agreed, I am watching the whole show through and seasons 1-3 have been brilliant, amazing, it completely blows the Stargates and Star Treks out of the sky in every single way, but towards the end of season 3 things started getting preposterous. There's a reason Gene Roddenberry kept religion out of TOS and TNG; in BSG, religion completely twists the show into a bizarre, drug-induced ghost of itself, and season 4 is pretty disappointing.

  • @PsychoPoet406 Honestly I'm a very rational minded person and I felt like this show was being twisted by religion from very early on, but I learned to just stop trying to enjoy it as science fiction and more just enjoy it as a mythological epic like the Iliad and it has worked wonders for allowing me to just enjoy it on its own level.

  • This was probably the coolest thing that the ship did in the entire series.

One of the coolest things any sci-fi spaceship has done on TV or film.

  • Battlestar Galactica. One Bas ass ship, lets see the Enterprise do that!

  • My total FAVE moment in the whole series. Been looking for this for a while on youtube, nice one d4rkd4nger! Quality work! Gives me goosebumps every time! Epic episode!

  • Anyone notice how awesomely BSG seems to have channeled Macross (Robotech in the States?)

First this beyond awesome maneuver to launch the fighters in atmosphere, then then raming the Cylon colony with the ship in the series finale.

Great homage to a great anime!

  • My favorite moment in the BSG series.

  • My all time 2nd favorite moment in BSG.

  • I remember yelling at the television when this scene happened. I remember my parents ran into the room wondering why I was yelling, and telling them that it was something in Battlestar Galactica, and they would know when they watched it.

I also remember them yelling at the TV the next evening.

    Pure. Awesome.

  • I yelled when Pegasus went down...so unfair and made me tear up. lol

  • Not to mention when the Galactica broke her back, that made me literally cry lol. Oh the memories.

  • Goddam, it's about time I found this without crappy music overlay. This show is best with it's original music. Kudos to you for not adding anything.

  • @ProphetoftheMachines

You kidding me!? That was the pipes!

  • This is the most kick ass thing i have ever seen. Ever.

  • Adama kicks ass! And this maneuver only proves how truly badass he and the Galactica really are.

  • so much better than the " Picard Maneuver "

  • I don't normally leave comments on Youtube but I feel compelled to do so for this. One of the greatest moments in the greatest sci-fi show of all time....I could watch this over and over

  • I wonder.. what woulda happened if it smashed into the ground?

  • Big ouchie..For everyone.

  • I'm sure you can't find that in any books for training.. the stress alone.. what guts that took to bring it through the atmosphere like that. They say you should know the ship "like the back of your hand" to use a bad pun.. that proves it.. he knew it'd do it. Just an amazing clip and thanks so much for the great post of it for us fans! :)

  • I'm not sure... is this more or less hull stress than the direct nuclear strike Galactica absorbed during the pilot miniseries? As I understand it, a nuke in space would mainly be an intense burst of X-rays. The "spectacular" effects seen in vids are from its interaction with the atmosphere, but in a vacuum the radiation could go a lot further. Which do you think would be worse?

  • Yeah, Adama is such a badass. I love this maneuver.

  • Adama may be an old fart but he is such a badass.

  • anyone else felt an orgasm when adama made that maneuver?

  • Yep, I pretty much jizzed my pants when I saw this.

  • LOL YEAH

  • Thank the Gods it wasn't just me. I got so frakking excited when I saw this!!

  • I was amazed as hell. Can't say I saw anything else like it : )

  • Hehehe, i do that tacitc on 2142 when the enemy has locked onto me, all the time before i hit the ground i boot the engines up

  • Really?

    I gotta try that.

  • Classic!

  • Jumping in-atmosphere with a Battlestar, launching fighters while falling, then jumping back out just before hitting the ground.

Adama is by far the craziest s.o.b. I know. lol

  • Comment removed

  • so were the writers to think of it...amazing stuff

  • 10 stars if you ask me, one of the best things i've seen in TV

  • falling with style lol.

  • Most epic battle maneuver EVER.

  • great film

  • I've seen some pretty crazy shit in sci-fi but this takes the prize as the craziest most insane maneuver ever or at least the most jaw dropping.

  • that supersonic boom always gets my spine tingling.. LOVE IT

  • My favorite scene from the series so far!

  • Fanfreakintastic! I get goosebumps everytime i watch this. Thanks for posting a pure version!

  • Does anyone have the part from RAZOR when the shipyard is under attack and pegasus escapes?

  • It must be said that his was an amazing episode. Glad I've got my widescreen!

  • EPIC... i dont have words for it..

omg need more bsg... need more ADAMA!!!

  • Hey, could you PLEASE upload the part where the Galactica is getting nailed by the four battlestars and where Pegasus shows up, without any music overlay? I would REALLY appreciate it!

  • check my other video

  • Amen to that!

  • Officially the most bad-ass thing Galactica has ever done

  • Greatest moment in television history, man I get goose bumps every time I see that.

  • Best Scene EvEr!! thanks for putting this clip up without music over it.

  • congrats on putting this scene up without some overdone music drowning everything out.

  • I agree. Took me a while to find it.

  • The cast, the story, the special effects, the sets, the film and sound editing. The New Battlestar Galactica is the most realistic sci-fi series ever!!

  • tonights the night....GLEEEEEE!!!! BSG RULES!

  • *woots a lil*

  • *also pumps fist*

  • *pumps fist*

  • That was totally the most awesomely AWESOME thing Adama has ever done with Galactica.

    Thanks for putting it up!

  • I like how they did the whole sonic boom thing. It was rather realistic and well done.

  • it was like a super pleasure that i will never had before, and insha allah, i hope i will have agin. vey nice

  • I just remembered how awesome that scene was. The hair on my arms are standing up.

  • Fantastic manuever. Very clever.

  • TOO COOL!!!

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! That was, without a doubt, the coolest minute of sci fi television EVER.
