  • If only we could watch from the outside while parking in real life!

  • hi ill be sure too remember that when i get the confidence too tow double =D

oh and by the way is the freightliner argossy an in-game truck or a download

  • @chops5845 If I recall correctly, the truck is in stock game. About the doubles, the game includes doubles but are much shorter. These on the video are a download. Also, game uses double, while this is a b-double.

  • how much is this game? I've always loved these kinds of simulator games

  • Thanks you really helped me :)

    Liked+sub

  • @andrei13mo I'm glad it helped. Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • nice vid man im so subscribign but i like the music wat is it name

  • @5153john @jjizabeast1 the songs name is Moby- Flower youtube.com/watch?v=3sWb1iR2mzM

  • wut dat song at 1:58?? i herd it befo but i aint new wut song it wuz.. by da way nice video

  • does this work in real life?

  • @NBertuzzi The basic theory about the physics on how to move the cab and trailers is the same in real life. However, some trucks are not recommended to "bend" so much. You can check this video to see a real b-double twisting, and the cab dancing around: watch?v=uL0mUcN3sh8

I also posted a "parody" video reply, trying to do the same movements in game and see what happened. The result was basically the same.

  • WOW man, nice lesson.I never did it so well ingame. Are you a professional truck driver or you truck only on games? My dream is to become a real truck driver, but with only one semi-trailer :D

  • @IcoFarfus Thanks for comment man, appreciated. No, I never drove a truck (hope to do is some day..). The double is not that hard if you do it slowly, thinking before moving, and of course with practice. Anyway in game is much harder because you can't take your head out of the window... so "cheating" a bit watching the outside is not so bad.

  • i have another question how do i take a corner with that beast? XD

  • I'm stuck in weird situation, cause after my wonderful manuevers i lost second trailer. Is there any way to re-attach it?

  • @BarcelPL No, I had to load a save from 5 hours earlier than when I lost my 2nd trailer. Pissed me off.

  • This is pretty easy when you got enough space to maneuver, but an hour ago i tried to steer trailer into proper position - main problem was that trailer lot was longer then my truck with trailers only by 2 meters or sumthin ... -.-

  • @kebubas Yeah, without space you can't back these things. Anyway in real life, in difficult places, they just separate the trailers and put them one by one. But you cant' do this in the game.

  • I LOVED THE TUTORIAL HELPED ME A LOT! HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS TYPE OF CHARGE TO PARK DOUBLE EXCUSE MY ENGLISH IS WHY I AM THE BRAZILIAN TUTORIAL CONGRATULATIONS!

  • @tiagotaddei Thanks man, no problem for english, I'm from spain. Thanks for comment.

  • thanks for putting this video up its helped me a lot in 18 wheels of steel american long haul :)

  • @bopdeebop1 I'm glad it helped. Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • are you serious??? that is not how you learn to back a b double.that is a toy game,it dont have 18 wheels.you learn to back a b double on the road not in some fanciful game.obviously you dont have a b double licence otherwise you wouldnt come up with this nonsense.YOU DONT BEND A B DOUBLE IN A DOCK LIKE THAT WHEN YOU CAN DOG LEG IT,THE COAMING RAIL ON THE A TRAILER GETS BENT BY THE B TRAILER,IT ALSO SCRUBS OUT THE TYRES.

driving a b double is no game.DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS RUBBISH.

  • @weststigerboi ..take it easy man. If I hadn't looked at your profile, I would say those words came out from a 12 years old. Please check the message that can be seen at the first 5 seconds of video. This is just a game, called "18 wheels of steel". I of course know you learn on a road, and that b-doubles don't get bended like that all the time, but I also know you can bend them without breaking. I just posted this for gamers, and maybe a training trucker that doesn't understand semis behaviour

  • what is the song called it is sweet

  • @coolkid8881231 You've got all the info on the video description ;)

  • Hey man I've recently started taking lessons to drive road trains and I've got everything else down EXCEPT THE REVERSING! It's an absolute brainsmack. This video helps a lot, thanks for posting it up!

  • @beyongthepale Thanks man, really appreciated. I hope your lessons go fine and you start working and getting real experience soon, so you can tell if this theory video work in real life or is just shit for a game, lol. In any case, I hope to see some videos from you of double backing. Don't hesitate to send them to me even if it's in private message, I love trucking, so I won't be bothered at all.

    Good luck, regards.

  • that game looks gr8 nice graphics.never heard of it before.i might try to find it.thanx

  • @sdavis732010 Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • its not that easy

  • who's filming this.....are they on a boom

  • could you send me a link for mods?

  • @unclewilly2 You can find lots of mods at the Truckpol forums. Can't post link here sorry, just Google, you will find it easy.

  • ok you are right its quite easy to reverse it .and this video is made very nice its fantastic and the song at 2:00 is one of my favorite ones so 5* if they where there so hmm thumb up!! nice job xD

  • @unclewilly2 Thanks man, appreciated. But I wouldn't say it's easy to reverse lol, just that it isn't so hard if you know the basics and think before you move.

  • @Irreo yep you`re right ;P ^^

  • @Irreo, Again I thank You for this enlighten Video. as I have have just started B double work in Brisbane Aus. The first time attempting to reverse in a straight line, I over swung the prime mover and (making the vehicle look a little like an S lol) and quickly remembered this vid and others that I have seen here on Youtube.. and realised not to oversteer to much. It worked I can reverse pretty Ok for a beginner haha. I've yet to reverse in the hard spots. Not looking forward to them. Cheers..

  • @reality00000 Thanks for your comment man, I really appreciate it. I had no idea this could be applied to real-life trucking, but I'm glad to know it was useful. Good luck in that new job, and have fun driving.

  • @Irreo Thanks. I've been a B double driver for about 3 weeks now. Getting better at reversing each day and I'm loving it. To comment on what you said about having no idea that we could apply this to real life, well mate you've done real well in explaining the terminology of pushing each trailer from the prime-mover to the 2nd trailer. thats what i thought about when i first attempted to reverse for the first time. THUMBS UP!! CHEERS

  • @reality00000 Thanks again man, appreciated, it means a lot to me to read that from an actual trucker. You should post trucking videos including backings, lots of people love to see that, including myself. If you ever do, don't hesitate to send me the link!

  • wow, many thanks, xD , good video

  • great job man i love this game not as good as you but now i can play the game cause my computer is way to slow now but thats cool thanks for shareing

  • nice job man, but why don't you drive from inside the truck? it's more realistic.

and isn't it easier to just uncouple and couple the second to the tractor and then back up?

  • @WNxRadeon Thanks man, appreciated. I do drive from inside view always, but I recorded this from the inside to show the theory. You can check an inside b-double reverse I did on this video: YeLygnz1XQw (put it on the URL). And yeah, I bet it's easier uncoupling, but the bad thing is this game doesn't support that, so you have to back it up want it or not.

  • Good Vid. Awesome for anyone learning the B Dub..:)

  • @reality00000 Thanks for your comment man, really appreciate it.

  • Awesome!!!

    You're an ace semi driver.

  • @SergeSaati007 Well, it's always much easier in a game, but thanks for the comment!

  • @Irreo But it's same driving technics. If you know how to do it in game, you can do it in real. With helps of others of course. It's impossible reverse it like that w/o helps or camera.

  • how do you play this game? I dont know how to go to the destinations

  • Hi I just got this game, when I pickup doubles they seem to be in A-double config with a dolly on the second trailer although they behave in reverse like a B-double. How do you get the B double in this vid? I can only buy single trailers. Also I noticed with the 18 speed box the driver seems to skip gears

  • @mikenz88 Hi man. The trailer is a mod, made by a third party. Mods are just addons for the game (can be trucks, trailers, and even the map). I can't tell about this one because I can't remember, but you can find plenty of them on different forums. Check Glenn52 site, or Truckpol Forums, where you can find specific sections for mod download. But be warned, you'll need patience to read, practice and maybe fail before being able to succesfully run some mods (others are easy). Good luck.

  • nice song

  • Hey can you still give me the title to the song before they muted the vid

  • what stimulator/game is this?

  • The game is called "18 wheels of steel Haulin"

  • @Irreo What happened to the music from before I loved that one

  • @mandunya .. f**k... it seems it's been muted. Thanks for telling. Some day I'll have to remove all muted videos and upload them again with another music. And I even put the songs on the credits.. I wonder if they sold any track thanks to this video. Anyway from now on it's sure they'll sell none, as people won't even know that music exists...

  • nice vid man...

i knew how to do it before, this just helped a bit more..thanks.

  • Thanks for comment man, appreciated, I'm glad it was useful for you.

  • ha ha ha ha ha your good i wanna see you screw a real one around like that in one go lol

    thanks for posting great vid

  • Yeah I would love to try backing a real one too, but no way I would do it... one thing is to sit inside, and another one to play with an RC truck, lol.

    Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • this is easy when you get into the swing of it but good tutorial for beginers TIP (Allways start of stearing) Use manual gears its allot easyer, never strighten out on your stearing when reversing allways got to be turning. good vid

  • Thanks for comment man, appreciated.

  • is there any way to hitch up the 2nd trailer if it comes loose?

  • lol the first time i hauled 2 trailers, i was at the place where it needed to be but then it took me 2 days in the game to park it right then one unhooked, but anyways u go to emergency call. for some reason when i did that my truck flew and spinned and my trailers flew over a wall aross the street so be careful lol

  • Nice vid, pal. One think in Haulin' I still do not understand. (Maybe bug or what): Iam parking outside road at night, and I must keep my lights ON, even I don't want get "red" stars. Is it Okay, same at your side?

  • Thanks man, appreciated.

If you like to play fair (I mean without doing stupid things), like stoping at red lights, parking correctly on hotels/gas stations, etc., best thing you can do is disable police. Just set to "0" the g_police parameter in the config.cfg and you're done. I drive with that. I also like to turn lights off without tickets. Also good when reversinig using oposite lane...being chased for doing your job!

    Have fun.

  • hey what game is that?

  • The game is called 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin.

  • nice vid mate, have tried it from cabin?

  • Yeah, this one is just theory, I've got another video just backing, called "B-Double Reverse", all from the inside. Thanks for comment.

  • how to get the tailer plz help me

  • I think it's a mod from "halmqvist". Try Truckpol forums for finding him.

  • Very accurate, but you were too close to the wall. In real life you are never the only trailer, there are others in the other docks. so it means the starting distance should be more out, but of course it is to get the basics and you deliver that. Also in reality usually when you have 2 trailers hauled, most companiess have their own trucks to move trailers within grounds so more than likely you would have just unhitched 1 and then the other you would park yourself.

  • Thanks for comment man.

Yeah you're right, but it was just some theory to show the basics. Also, I'm not able to park a double with other trailers around... And I guess it works as you say most of the times, you just go releasing trailers and parking them one by one.

  • You are a good teacher XD

  • Wow dude that was pretty cool!

I just got myself a G25 Wheel as a birthday present and I can't wait to play this game!

The video is excellent content & music wise!

  • You'll enjoy it. My bro has a G25 too and had some troubles configuring it, but maybe it's because some driver issues, I don't know... hope it works for you.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • I hope I never have to back a b-dub or a rtrain or any of the like. I drive here in the states and I'll just stick with my ole' 53' single thank you very much. It's better to deal with the off tracking going forward than all that swinging and mess backing up. I don't think alot of guys here even back doubles or trips, they have alot of yard dog (special trailer moving docking tractors) guys for that. I enjoyed that though, I'd like to try it once in real life.

  • Well you will never have to back up a double, cause it's impossible, unless the set up is flawless. UPS, Conway, FedEx don't do it, they just drop the rear and then so on. Plus there are so many pivot points I think my teacher said like 4-5 points.

  • You should do a search for backing a b-double, I drive 1 for 14 hours a day and reversing is all part of the job. There is only 2 pivot points on a b-double.

  • That comment was for me or just a reply to some other comment?

I just got confused because of what you say and the 2 pivot points things, something I already knew.

Nice job by the way, I wish I wouldn't die without driving a b-double, but that will never happen.

  • u would screw ur truck if u do that..

  • if u do the same with a real truck, after this action u have to buy a new set of tires

  • I would appreciate a bit more detail on that, because as far as I know, I didn't do anything so brute. I saw something similar in real b-double and b-triples, that's how I "learnt" the theory on this. If the second trailer was a trailer and not a semi (front and back axles), then I would agree, but in this case I didn't do any turn bigger than 90º, and that's not something unusual when backing semitrailers I guess...

  • @Irreo You are both right, When pulling more than one trailers they often do wear tyres out quicker than usual. but as far as the theory goes here You've it justice Just needed more space. BTW if i get a chance to record myself reversing a B double, I'll try and post it.I have Pictures on my phone.

Would I have to get permission from the company to post their truck with their logo on them?

  • How do you get the custom driver you have in your truck, how do you change it?

  • I think it just came with the truck.. I don't really know, sorry.

  • Search for 18 WoS mods and you will find quite a few mods for 18 wos

  • so direct th first traiker like you would the truck

  • Well.. yeah, basically that's the idea, but the difference is that you have to "think" a little more, so you guess things before they happen. Meaning, to direct the first trailer to a position you first have to direct the cab, and if it's completely on the other side, while you do the turning (while reversing) you can get a mess. Sorry don't know how to explain at all, you'll get what I mean when doing lots of reverses.

  • PRO!!! man what i did was try try try and fail so in the end i dropped the trailer and rammed it with my prime mover;) untill it was straight :D ahhhh success =)

Thank You for recording posting 10/10

  • lol, I used to do that a lot too... just uncouple the cab and push them to their place. Now I try to back, most times I fail or get a backing I don't like at all, but a few times I get it done.

    Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • ...just with the mirrors

  • Yeah, but well, in reality you can also take your head out of the window!. I've got another video just with the mirrors, but ingame is kinda harder, as you can't either move yourself inside the virtual cab so the mirrors show a different angle...

    Thanks for comment, appreciated.

  • nice, but in the reality it is more and more difficult!

  • i know how to do that i can reverse it in only using the inside mirrors its simple what direction you put the first trailer in the second trailer will go in the opposite direction

  • Is haulin better than American Long Haul

  • Do you know where I can the bulldozer trailer mod is for 18 WOS ALH

  • Do you know where I can download trucks 18 wos alh

  • Try the TruckPol official forums. Sorry can't post links, try googling for it. I think you can find some there.

  • thanks yow

  • Thank you for watching and commenting man, appreciated.

  • What's the name of the song ??

  • You've got it on the description.

  • nice video,u got skill:)

can you do it with interior view using mirrors ? (sry 4my english)

  • Hi, thanks for your comment!

Well, I know the theory about b-doubles but unfortunatelly I fail almost all times. Anyway I sometimes get lucky and get to do what I want. Check my video called "B-double Reverse" ( ID: YeLygnz1XQw ), there you have a full interior reverse.

  • When you loose the second trailer you can't get it back right?

  • I think not, at least it didn't work the last times I tried, but I think I managed to get it back sometime in the past... but not quite sure, maybe I used emergency call or something...

  • I remember I lost mine once because I was f-ing around but I didn't care to get it back so I'm not sure.

  • at 2:54 when u get stuck wen backing up theres also another way of doing it

sometimes when i really screw up i just pull foward, make both trailers straight

    then start over

  • Thanks for your comment.

I wasn't stuck at that moment, it was part of the process. Place second trailer in position, then correct first trailer using cab. When I got really stuck without noticing it (until too late) is at 4:19, where I pushed too much against wall.

  • how do you get a bdouble ? wher do i find one ?

  • Join the TruckPol forum, people there uses to post trucks and trailers. Search on old topics, I'm sure you'll find lots of b-doubles and other stuff.

  • thank you very much, i struggled doing this for so long and this really helped. thanks!

  • Thanks for the comment man, appreciated.

  • It is a very good video, you know to reverse, you are a professional in this game, thank you for this video. This 2 trailers are very complished to drive in reverse.

  • nice

  • I think it's a mod I installed long ago, that puts the "2" camera a bit more farther. Try searching for camera view mod, or something like that.

  • its harder than it looks, im okay with parallel parkin, straight line backing, blinside parallel(from inside the cab) but i can not do a 90' angle reverse even when im goin really slow!!!

  • theres a freeview cam what you could use to check how much room youve got between your trailer and the wall, i do that at gas station parkin spaces and hotels... and it would be good if you could stick your head out the window, but the freeview cams good enough

  • Thanks for your comment, appreciated.

I always drive with inside view, but I used to back doubles from outside (you can't get head out of window or get out of the truck ingame). But lately I'm trying to do it from inside, a bit "blindly" sometimes... But not success at all, lol.

Maybe I do another video with a normal reverse with a double.

  • its actually not so hard in real lie..

I drive trucks like this in denmark and its actually quite easy.

  • I would love to see you try and do that in real life.

  • I also would love to try do that, my friend, I'm telling you.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • where did you get a b-double

  • It's a mod. There are lots all over the Internet. Try looking in Truckpol. This one is from Halmqvist if I recall correctly.

  • okey

  • I like to do it in "first-person" cabin view, makes it a bit more realistic. I also always drive like that, makes the handling and wide turns a bit more real. I just use "above" camera when the graphics limits the view mostly or to adore my truck :) Mostly when filling gas, to simulate getting out of the car ;p

  • Thanks for your comment.

Yeah I always drive with the inside camera too. In this video I used this because I wanted to show how the trailers behave while steering.

  • Yup. Good tip on moving forward a bit when needed btw, I normally have to do that every time several times to adjust angles. Nice truck btw.

  • Damn bro thats a good back up.

and in your first try that would of tookin me like 3 times lol but good job you park really good

  • Thanks for your comment man, appreciated.

Well, don't think I always park like that lol. Lately I need lots and lots of tries... I guess I'll never master the technique :/

  • Great job...

I can learn many thing from you..Andy

  • hey nice vid, wats the name of the song??

  • The music is from "Gone in 60 seconds".

First song is Bad Karma (ZzHck3YI3xA) and second one is Moby Flower (hJkm5R40Hj0)

  • nice guide, man, you make the horrible thing look easy! Nice done

  • Thanks for your comment man, appreciated. I'm glad you liked it.

  • nice job...my uncle drives a Kenworth T404 SAR in australia...what is mass management??coz my uncle is on it.i really want this game how did u get it?like download of internet or buy a disc or what?

  • Thanks for your comment.

The game I bought from an online shop, but I think you can also download the demo from the official site and then unlock it by doing some payment online (but you don't get a box).

  • good explanations on how to reverse B-double!

  • Thanks man! Appreciated.

  • nice driving driver its easy untill u get into a small yard lol

  • i cant drive in r/l lol but my dad does, im only 12 but im a truck mad man...but i do use thast theory on 18 wos...so what do you drive?

my dad drives a FH 480 euro 4 with ad-blue and pulls as bulk tipper :P

  • i drive a kenworth k104 with a cummins signiture 620. do a fair bit of tipper work and doing road train and b double work at the moment. il put a video up later

  • cool man, cummins are awsome engines...wats the weight limit in your neck of the woods??in tonnes

  • yeh the signiture goes real good. um b double is 63 tonnes, and the road train is about 80 tonnes. can go abit higher coz we are on mass management tho.

  • our weight limit relys on how heavy your axles are and how much you tax the weight to be.

  • Man, you have done this some times :-P

  • Well, I didn't do it at all, I just tried it some times, lol. I know the theory but still can't manage to do it as good as I would like.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • its easy to remember because your second trailer goes the same direction as your tractor

  • @volvoboy1: Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry but that's not exactly like that. The truck cab can go anywhere or face anywhere, the second trailer is just going to be pushed by the first one, so it's direction and turning will vary depending on the position of the first trailer. Is not the same a simple backing like the one on this video with some always-the-same moves, or a more complex backing.

  • well you do have a point but not alot of people do doubles, but i'd say its a helping hand

  • yeh thats right. i do it in real life. sitting in the cab looking in your mirror you just turn the wheel the way you want the 2nd trailer to go, then once it starts follow it around with the 1st trailer and when that starts going around follow it with the prime mover. you should then have everything lined up!

  • Sorry but what is the song

  • It's from the "Gone in 60 seconds" movie. One is from a scene where they steal a car and another one from the very start.

  • love the song!!

  • PERFECT! I will try it in HAULIN.

First time I try it when I was playing the 18 WOS CONVOY. In a mission you will find backing the double trailer like this. But I done that but very messy :)

  • yeah it worked! thanks a bunch, because we both know backing a double is hell!

  • Thanks, I'm glad it helped. And yeah, it can be a bit nightmare depending the place... the key is to think first, slow and gentle moves, and of course exterior view... with interior view you can't see the trailers so you are doomed unless you're a complete genius.

  • I have no problem backing up a single, but the doubles are hell!

  • Well then I hope this video helped you, at least a bit ;)
