  • 2:31 damn POH! POH! POH! POH! DAMN SICK!!!!!

  • He sung this so much better here than he does now. :(

  • my 2 fav albums by Incubus atm are S.C.I.E.N.C.E and If not now, when?

goes to show incubus can play w.e style they want and still be perfect in my eyes

  • AH YEAH!!

  • I think I was at this show. Does anyone know if this is the show where they gave the Enjoy Incubus guy masks away at the front door?

  • Every time I watch an old Incubus vid, I always realize how much I miss Dirk :/

Dammit Incubus/Dirk, put your differences aside and bring back that funky/bizarre music you used to churn out!

  • I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!!! Every time the camera goes to wide angle/balcony...I'm standing directly to the cameras left. They friggin' rocked that night!!!

  • Actually, this was the VERY first show they ever had with this DJ. They made sure to announce it that night...and man do I miss Dirk Lance. Bad ass all the way! After he left, I just completely lost interest, being a bass player myself.....actually met them too at Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis when they opened for 311. Great guys. Talked to Brandon and Jose the most. Mostly about the Beatles. :) Funny thing is, they saw me later walking around, and used me as an excuse to get away from 30+.....

  • ..fans following right the tips of their heels.Jose saw meand almost literally ran to me, citing,"We aren't used to this kind of response from people.Think I'll just chill with you for a minute." We chatted about the Beatles, and our musical influences.Brandon was very warm and friendly, patting me on the stomach, remembering all of the warm praise we were giving them. They said we were the first fans they met on the tour that gave them compliments the way we did. They were great guys.

  • wow theyve changed so much!, but no matter what they do they're amazing!!!! ily brandon<33333333

  • 0:54 <3

  • pedazo de tema , excelente en vivo

  • R.I.P Incubus 1995.-2003.

  • Respond to this video... dude, have some creative taste, incubus always and will forever be great, open your mind

  • he reminds me so much a of anthony kiedis of RHCP

  • I fuckin love that warm funky sound from Dirks bass

  • fuck yea man i love brandon boyd he brings it man fuckin guy was born to sing. also his brother in audiovent also shares this great talent both fucking badass singers!

  • so fucking nostalgic.

  • @happyknappyy Were you there? If so, lucky you, I was like 7 and didn't know my ass from my elbow. Then again, I never put my elbow on a toilet and expected something to come out; I never quite understood that saying.

  • @Dudewattimeizit I was 12 and in 98 they played in Europe so I went at my first Incubus concert during those years.... I miss that.

I got my dreads that same year.

...or you just ate the brown acid at woodstock? lol

  • @happyknappyy Brown Acid...lol How do you feel about the band now? A lot of people fans have mixed feelings; I'm just interested.

  • @Dudewattimeizit Mixed feelings! I kinda 'like' them now, fact is its not only about the music anymore. Musically they dont sound like my fave band at all, but they are, because I understand they are men now and when you grow up you change. I love and respect them as individuals, at the end I'm not the same person as 14 years ago either so okay.. first time I heard INNW I was shocked! (in a negative way) but what can I do? We wont have another S.C.I.E.N.C.E., thats for sure

  • @happyknappyy I was a bit shocked too. Also in a negative way. I didn't expect such a quiet, spacious album. Personally, I enjoy everything they've done musically, despite the dramatic changes. I've noticed that this band has a very personal relationship with their fans. It's like some fans think," honey you've changed and we've grown apart. I love what you use to be", and others think, "honey, you've changed, I miss the old days, but I'll always love you."One thing's for sure, Incubus lives on!

  • @Dudewattimeizit Yes a very personal and loving and caring relationship with the fans. Thats what I appreciate the most, they are famous but they avoid MTV, and they actually pay attention when a fan has something to tell em. I've met them a very long time ago and they are amazing people, its like I will always support them, cause they are Artists, true hippies and true artists. heehe! if you're on FaceBook you should add me, youtube tires me. LOL

  • @happyknappyy Exactly. I wish they would get more recognition. It bothers me when I see other groups, that aren't nearly as deserving as Incubus, get so many accolades. I'd add you on FB. How can I find you?

  • @Dudewattimeizit I don't think it's a good idea to share info on the comment board.

  • How long must his hair must've been without the dreads...

  • Incubus came before Korn. 'NOUGH SAID

  • This is one bad ass song. Their first 2 cd were great. everything else sorry to say wasnt so hot.

  • @KungFuChess I liked Crow Left of the Murder, quite a lot.

  • Very VERY minimal similarities to korn. VERY minimal. Dreads didnt start with Korn. Incubus has FAR more versatility than Korn ever has

  • lol they had a bit of korn influence

  • @TheBlackmetalhead to bad they were formed in 1991 and korn was formed around like 93 haha but similar in some ways

  • @TheBlackmetalhead The very thought of Brandon whining about high school is just terrifying.

  • wish I was there!

  • so versatile.so good.

    original and acoustic.freakingfantastic.

  • Brando - TAKE YOUR SHIRT OFF ;)

  • amazing performance!

  • the vocals sounds like mike patton

  • S.C.I.E.N.C.E!!

  • wow i dont know why this video like me more than the new song....this sound powerful!!! yeah

  • This was Incubus at their best.

  • Can you buy this version on itunes?? I can't find it anywhere!!!! :(

  • limp bizkit?^^

  • @undenohr not at all

  • I will always have a soft spot for guys with dreads thanx to brandon boyd XD

  • i think 8/10 brandon smoked here.

  • EPIC!!!!!!

  • is this the show they did at Metro with SOAD?!?????

  • I miss the dreads.

    They were epic.

  • ooo fuking godd in this moment really rockkkkkk!!

  • Incubus is one of those bands, that no matter what kind of material they bring out, they will always be great

  • S.C.I.E.N.C.E

Puta que era la raja cuando no eran comerciales

Are you gonna stand around till 2012 A.D.?

    What are you waiting for,

    A certain shade of green?

    You've been raised in limitation,

but that glove never fit quite right.

The time has passed for hand-me-downs,

    choose anew, please evolve,

    take flight

  • The best Incubus album!!!!

  • haha... this was when not as much people knew about Incubus. At the end he had to say who they were.

  • alex's new band is Willie's Nerve Clinic-- so i am not gonna lie- I am in the Ben camp- considering they are both great-but Ben seems to really get along and have fun with the band- not so much tension- i have to ask though- of 'dirk' fans--how come he said he could always walk into a crowd and NOONE recognized him 'back then'-AND why aren't more people into or even know the name of his band- I mean its like people like the idea of him-but just to debate about- instead of actually supporting him

  • dirk is not better than ben , he just have a different style

ben is a really good musician and also can sing very well

  • @haaimee That wasn't the point I was making. Ben can sing wonderfully. He can play bass, guitar, and drums as well. He has some awesome songs I've heard some of them. I was saying dirk is a better fit for incubus than ben as well as the fact that we all just miss him being in the band because he was just awesome. If you have been a fan of the band for a long time, in any case, it makes you sad to see a founding member go.

  • thats horse shit, ben is nice but dirk is so much better atleast on bass. why do you think they never play any science live? ben cant do the basslines justice

  • @JoeKane1991 - lie lie lie! ben can nail science basslines now, search for songs from their recent summer tours, he nails the redefine solo and everything else.

  • @JoeKane1991

Agreed, in fact observe this song on Red Rocks. The bass is very lacking though DJ KIlmore makes up for it in a DJ solo.

  • @JoeKane1991 agree'd they need to get someone to teach him how to slap

  • Actually Blackmetalhead, that's a pretty simply little riff. I'm sure Ben could do it, and I think there is a video somewhere showing Ben slapping this line and doing it bloody well.

And Dirk is in another band, but can't remember the name. It's on his wiki.

  • there are some songs on fungus amongus however that I guarantee ben would have trouble implicating. Dirk had a style all his own very different from ben kenney that in this case, really helped make the band what it was. Although I will admit ben is a very talented musician. But I will also say it is dirk himself that many of us incubus fans miss. The band is not the same without dirk lance.

  • @softlyserenademe

Oh don't get me wrong. I understand what your saying, and I love Dirk's style in these older incubus songs. However, as I have only recently started listening to them, I'm indifferent as to which I prefer. All I know is, I like both styles.

  • @Warazza88 that's respectable. I do agree, they are both very talented musicians.

  • miss you dirk :(

  • 1:58 ben cant do that can he

  • damn straight, ben kenney should've stuck with the roots.

i wonder what dirk does these days. he probably touches stuff and turns it funky ;)

  • Watch live at Red Rocks that'll answer your question :)

  • @TheBlackmetalhead Oh yes. 1:58-2:05 is wonderous.

  • SCIENCE and Make Your Self rocks... they sell them selfs since Morning View

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE MY INCUBUS!!!!!!! :-)

  • awesome........ but i wonder..................... do people even hear the lyrics?!?!?!?

this is a great song. musically superb. but what brandon is saying is basicly socially sound. if you wait you lose! and hopefuly the 2012 thing is just a mayan myth. but if it isn't live now!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha. it's not a myth, it's real! but guess what -- it only refers to the end of the mayan calander. then, they begin the count all over again. this will be the calender's fourth time it reset. actually, if it were true the world ends at the end of the mayan calender, the world would have ended four times already.

  • It is a mayan myth, but I'm still pretty skeptical, so I'ma take your advice and do whatever the fudge I want :D

  • im glad that this video shows how incubus didnt have many girls as fans at this time. then brandon cuts his hair and starts going shirtless and he becomes a sex symbol....fuckin stupid chicks don't get it

  • don't agree i started listening to incubus only a month ago, i think SCIENCE is an awesome album (haven't listened to the rest yet), and this is the first time i ever see the lead singer. not all us girls are "fuckin stupid chicks" that onle care how hot the guy is, to actually like a band, i just like the music, that's why i listen to incubus.

  • Nah, you can't put all girls in the "fuckin stupid chicks" category. I love Incubus in their S.C.I.E.N.C.E. days and for all I care Brandon could be a freaking gorilla. If any animal or creature ever posesses the same talent, I'll love their band too. Not all girls go for the looks, I myself am a music addict.

  • i didnt mean all girls because i know some are really chill and passionate about the music they like but if you take into account at least 50% of the girls who dont care, that doubles your fan base and can make any band go from minor label to major. Its a sad part of marketing but it works. im not a womanizer, i just pay attention in malls and in the media. if you are a true incubus fan then the "stupid fuckin chicks" comment does not apply to you

  • Brandon was always a sex symbol for me haha

  • D-d-d-d-d-irk Lance on the bassssss!!!!

  • i loved incubus during this time

i still love em though no matter what they are the most talented band out there

  • lol longest brandons hair has ever been lol i liked there lock phase brandon and mike

  • @jrock9223 really NOT the most talented band around but they are, or were, amazingly kickass. there for little girls nowadays

  • @spoony123 i lol'd when you said that "there" for little girls nowadays.... they're still kickass compared to the other half-ass artists out there...

  • @jrock9223 they lost some overall talent with their new bassist

  • Ojala el disco que viene tengan temas más hardcore.

  • coincido totalmente

  • 0:10 wow look at mike go lol

  • i wish incubus stayed nu metal... hehe i think this phase of them was the best, and some of thier heavier but melodic songs like wish you were here, pardon me and some other stuff. the new stuff is fine but, heavy incubus kicks ass!~

  • yeah, science was a masterpiece.

  • oh i would do anything to been at this concert but i was 4 :(

and Dirk was cool but ben is a great bassist too!!

  • brandon looked so funny with his dreads and stash

  • me toooo, but i was 5 hahahaha :/

  • Brandons " poww " is genius

    0:53

  • DAMNNNNNN I WOULD OF LOVED TO BE THERE!!! I just went to their concert here in Chicago on July 21st but it was nothing like this. This is when Incubus was Hungry. Regardless it was an awesome show

  • I don't think Incubus is the same without Dirk Lance. I mean, their new stuff is good! But I just don't like it as much as their early stuff with Dirk.

  • Yeah maybe, but I doubt their change musically has that much to do with ben, their music have been changing always, I don't think any of their albums is alike.

I love all their music thou.

  • when the rock was young...

  • ii would have killled to have been at this. unfortunately, i was only 4 years old

  • haha me too, i was 9.

  • seriously why are you crying?

  • im not being a dick but his hair looks friken stupid with dread locks.

  • his hair looks much better now hah.

man they had so much energy in science its awesome.

  • The incubus i miss

  • fak yeargh

    nice said

  • the good old days of incubus

  • the best of incubus

  • classic

  • <3 S.C.I.E.N.C.E

  • spaccate sempre regà! sempre nel mio cuore

  • Brandon with his long dreads is more than awesome one of the best funk metal songs he brandon and mike please bring the dreads back and the funk metal sound.

  • unless they wont bring back alex they wont..

  • Why'd you cut off your rastas man!!

  • since when were dreads called rastas?

and why do people associate dreads with rastas all the time. they didnt invent dreadlocks.

  • why are you crying?

  • so who did create dreadlocks?

  • rastafariiiiii

  • the rastafarris

  • It's kinda like how people associate long hair with metal heads. People are just stupid I guess :/

  • Vintage!

  • add &fmt=18 to the end of the url. sounds so much better

  • ahhhh yeah

  • PEOPLE!!! THIS IS INCUBUS!!!

    missing

but still great band by the way :)

  • im kind of glad that brandon, as well as the rest of the band, has entirely different stage presence now. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is an awesome album though

  • increible

  • HOT!!!!!!!

  • What's so great about this band is their versatility. This early version is amazing, but so is the jazzy, mellow version from later. Love them both. :-)

  • although i perfer Incubus's older stuff, they are still great.

  • I was totally at this concert...awesomee, cant wait till they come back in town

  • now this how i like it!!!! (after watching the red rocks version)..that version really sucks!!!

  • Love the sound waves that Incubus form

  • heyy incubus it's a great band why you say that maybe light granades was not too hardcore but they are amazing band and you can't said the contrary

  • they are mot deinetly NOT terrible. but i do i agree there oldies are better then there newer songs

  • what are you chatting about u twat!

  • this is way better than the red rocks version

  • Yeah incubus rocks the best band in the world rock on guys.

  • de lo mejorcito ke e escuchando en mi vida, y ahi sigen dando kaña

  • jose's piccolo snare sounds frickin sexy!!!

  • uhshus, they were such children at this point, but already making great music :D

  • WOW they changed very much!.... brandon looks al bit like zack de la rocha from ratm and the style also is similar

  • i think all of incubus's stuff is amazing SCIENCE is great, but so is the other stuff

    its just different

just because its different doesn't mean its bad

stop saying that this is their best, its all good!!!

incubus can't make bad music, i dont think its possible

  • his dreads kicked ass!!!!

  • best band in 1997. 1998!

  • Comment removed

  • I love love love incubus. And i love love love love S.I.E.N.C.E.

  • .,.i thnk incubus influence alternativ mor to be famous

    but still looks hot haha

  • oh my god it is the theme ki meu meu gesta

  • In this ages Incubus are the great Funkmetal Hope of the nineties, SCIENCE is an awesome perfect Album of agressive, jazz, hard, funkorapfreestyle, fresh hard rock of the decade, The dear bastard son, of Mike Patton in a new modern metal sound, the rest is only minus, but this record is example of nu-hard vibrations, sorry my poor english, regards from Madrid, Spain .

  • Right. Too bad then didn't stayed on those tracks.

  • i think brandon was just a bit stoned....but it was still kickass

  • All the good albums came out when they are all the huge drug fiends.

  • "choose anew, please evolve, take flight..." LOVEEEE this song! SCIENCE rocks my sox..

  • love this song!! but I like it better when brandon sings with his shirt off :) SCIENCE is such an amazing album and I wish I could of seen them at this time but I was 7 years old. ha I was still a fan though

  • yeah... well he was younger and the pot smoking probably had an effect on his vocals.

  • incubus...the son of faith no more (in a good way)

the only thing i can complain about arnold is that he cant make the grunty voice (if we can call it like that) that he made on that album or in others, i still havent hear any live song that arnold sing those screams well, but beside that minimal sh*t this is an exelent band =)

  • They used to rock so hard back in the day. I wish I knew about them earlier.

  • Incubus is so kickass. Listen to anything from their album SCIENCE then listen to their newer stuff like ACLOTM.. or Light Grenades. Completely different sound, same great music.

  • . were incubus from california..hehehe it means there just newbies dat time.... what an instant boom of their career...rock on!!!!!!

  • they all have improved their skills, of course they have, this 10 years ago, remember that
