There's no anointing in today's gospel entertainment...I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face from this video, and don't get that even in church.
My Grandmother use to sing this song all the time, and at the age of 5yrs old she placed me in front of a piano and the rest was history. Thank You (Grandma) I will always Love You until my last breath, you are so very missed.

i love frank williams and the whole williams bro family i grew up on their music frank had the best gospel voice i ever heard makes me think about heaven when he sings i know he is truly near the cross this really blessed my soul thanks for posting this and all of the mississippi mass choir songs.
I grew up in the old style baptist church. This is the kind of songs we learned and I still know the words to everyone of them. I find sad that with this newer generation that they are pulling away from these old hymns. These bring back memories and tears to my eyes. the new ones don't.
The problem is not that they pulled away from these old songs - The problem is . . . todays singers have pulled away from the anointing! Thats why you dont feel the spirit of God when listening to most gospel songs of today. If the singer is not singing under the anointing, the spirit of God in you - can't connect to it . . so you don't feel it, you don't get delivered, you don't get empowered, and you don't get healed. Thats why most people have no idea what i'm talking about.
When this was redone, all the choirs had to do the new spin!!! I love this song, because, as a desendent of Mississippi blood, we were proud of the choir!!! They were bad too, could blow something fierce too!!!! YESSSS, Mississippi was coming up, not some poor State in the Union!!!!
THIS SONG IS SO UPLIFTING AND SOOTHING TO THE SOUL UNTIL I JUST SIT BACK AND CLOSE MY EYES TO IT AND I FEEL SO RELAXED I JUST FORGET MY WORRIES BECAUSE I BEGIN TO GAIN STRENGTH TO FIGHT WHATEVER COMES MY WAY. A song with cords and sounds from heaven can be the defining moment in a person's life. It is so important that the church present songs that ministers to the broken, lost and backslider. One never knows when a person says "I am going one more time and then I am finished." Songs filled with the anointing can make the differences in holding on a little bit longer.

I can't agree with you more. I grew up in a children's choir, and the foundation it has helped me build for my life ( I feel) is second to none....
