  • well my latopt is almost 1 year ago i7 cpu and its always 90c +

  • he's using thermal electric module!

  • Sensor is broken, if it was that low he would have insulation and frost all over the damn place. But it is possible. Hook up a Phase change cooler to a water cooling CPU block with thermal epoxy in place of a rad and circulate acetone instead of water.

  • Rule #1 of PC cooling - you can not get colder than ambient temps with out added energy cooling. Like refrigeration systems or liquid nitrogen. Even the best water system will only get as low as room temp.

Moral of the story, broken CPU temp sensor.

  • -93 lol is your computer floating in space :D

  • @galaxything my cocks floating in space

  • fake

  • the coolest cpu ever was cooled using liquid helium to only 3-4 degrees kelvin thats less than -350c btw

  • @maddogjm1

    0 kelvin = -273.16C

    you do the math,,, :p

  • @maddogjm1

    0 kelvin = -273.16C

    you do the math,,, :p

    (-350c doesn't excist)

  • It's not fake, it's just broken temp sensors. It annoys the piss out of me how people online scream "fake!!!" at everything they see. FFS people. Educate yourselves.

And Nater, FYI, using LN2 you can most definitely get temps to -93. Much lower actually. Not that it matters, this was water cooling, not LN2.

The record is actually over 7 GHz. It wasn't on a Q9550 though.

  • fake ! You did not reach -93 degrees with water cooling

  • the record is -196°C @ 5GHz

  • fake

  • Someones broke their Sensors.. lol

  • hi i oc my q9550 cpu to 3.6 and it shows this in this bios but in windows it does not show this nor does it show this on cpuz i have disable many features such as intel speedstepping but it still is not showing what have i done wrong?

    thnx

  • Sure this isn't broken? I'd love to know how to do that temperature on water O.o

  • looks like ur cpu temp sensors are busted

  • yeap...even the best watercooling liquid freezes to -10c ..

  • Lol the metal would start to Get humid and u would have seen the ice on and around the block

  • what kind of fan is that the ones with leds??

  • Thermaltake Iflash

  • hey thanks. :D

  • you can't get -93C with water. What fluid are they using?

  • @dunlrock are you stupid? seriously.

  • @yosmer333

    Water FREEZES at 0C idiot!

  • @dunlrock idiot? you are the only dumbass who thinks -97º it's possible using water cooling... lmao. read your own question.

  • @yosmer333 "you can't get -93C with water" looks like you misread my comment.

  • @dunlrock you wrote a comment asking what fluid did he use in order to get (fake) -97º...

  • just a glitch? everything else was like 42C and he had a block on his SB

  • i cant rase the base clock on that bord.

and the hyper trading is gone :(

    HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

  • may be thats too cold i dont know.

  • Didn't you all realize, that he uses a Peltier element? Or what did you belive is the electricity coming through the 4pin cable to beyond the CPU good for?

So, yes you can reach -93°C. The water cooler just takes the heat from the Peltier element.

  • How many GHZ do to get doing that?

  • salt and pepper in water making minus deegrees?

  • only salt

  • You are all wrong. you can easily get -11-12°C using normal Salt, Ice and Water for cooling. Its physic.

Also you can put alcohol into your freezer and cool it down to -25°C without any problems.

But you will get in trouble with the resulting condensation water.

It did this shit in the area of the pentium II. I was the first guy in europe having a watercooled pc... build the coolers by ourselfs, there was nothing to buy.

  • salt?

  • yes this salt and pepper salt-thing. Im not a chemist so i can´t say why this happens but it works. ask a chemie teacher

  • hey,how are you getting below 0c temps on water cooling?

  • I Rofled, watercooling cant be ever under your room-temp and under freezig-point, -93 can only be with ln2 or lhe.

Ur had just a broken tempsensor.

  • this can not be true!

  • Looks like another with a ton of money and no know-how.

  • By the way, no operating part of a computer would ever be -93c.

  • actually, the AMD Dragon Architecture can run at ocer -260 degrees celcius. dont believe me? check it out on google

  • Comment removed

  • @Nater389 It wont even work :)

  • @sotiri2

    It would work

  • @Nater389 u have no idea - have u ever seen someone who does some hardcore overclocking?

  • @Nater389 This is not true. Google liquid nitrogen extreme OC...

  • Geez, you running liquid Heluium through the pumps?

  • thats an error .-5*c is freezing point.the cpu would be a ice block at that temp

  • What BIOS u recommend for me, i got same CPU as you OC at 3.8GHz and asus P5Q mobo. I use right now the 1611 (latest right now) but it got some bugs eg. loads hardware temp info 5 seks and some other little bugs. + doesn't show how many cores in bootup. My last bios was 0506

  • Disable CPU ID MAX.

For me this works with the same mobo.

  • Ok. You got BIOS v1611??

  • no i'm on 803

  • ok.

  • cool xD

  • Coool -93C its amazing

  • Lol sif its -93*C. Probably a broken sensor or something.

  • Got enough elbow fittings there? LOLOLOLOL

  • ya if it was that cold there'd be ice all over that thing lol

  • how would there be ice, who the hell would pour water into a computer

  • if the cpu was running at -93c thats way below ambient causing condensation to form then that would get cold and freeze causiing ice/frost to build up killing the computer

  • My god, that dude knows nothing about physics lol.

  • LOL nice error!

  • llol!

  • the real question is, what the hell was those sounds at the beginning.

  • Haha, aye, sounded like a clown horn?
