  • @ChristofTheSlow haha I wouldn't know I use Adblock Plus lol

  • Type in LEWIS MACLEOD IMPRESSIONS and listen to a better take on taken.

  • That was amazing

  • Holy fuck. That was perfect.

  • if this was a Liam Neeson impression he would have punched Rob in the trachea

  • I remember them doing a really serious scene. The acting was amazing, I wish I could find it.

  • That's not so great! Kinda disappointing. Liam Neeson's Irish accent isn't so strong.

  • @Steeveriffic It actually is i am irish from the south hes from the north but is irish his accent still sounds very strong northern irish to me with an american twang.

  • that sounded nothing like him

  • had no idea who Liam Neeson was untill he started impersonating :D

  • I hadn't seen Taken before I watched this when it was on BBC - but absoloutely love this bit now xD

  • I laughed so hard omg

  • Wow, when Brydon came in that was brilliant!

  • I didn't sense that Neeson was making any attempt to sound American in Taken. There are always cases of actors who just forget about trying accents. If they are good enough, you don't care. I.e. Sean Connery as a Siberian born submarine captain. I think Coogan has a big advantage over Brydon in that he has such a deep resonance to his voice. Brydon's Tom Jones is gadawful.

  • @badmuddafadda

Just curious, by why should British or Australian actors put on an American accent for something?

Anyone would think there are no British people living in America...

  • @ExtremeBogom There aren't many.

  • @ExtremeBogom

because all actors , including American ones, speak in the same universal dialect so everyone can understand them.

  • @ghoulrush

Hang on, let's get some clarity here.

Are you saying all actors and actresses should speak the native dialect of where they are working?

Or are you saying that no matter who is acting, and no matter where it takes place, everyone should speak American?

Because for a second it sounded like you meant the latter...

  • @ExtremeBogom

nigga you is all kinds of confused. In acting school they teach actors to pronounce everything clearly without any specific accent. If there is a reason for them to have an accent they have one.

  • @ghoulrush

    Nah...really?.. You don't say?

You gonna tell me the sky is actually blue now?

  • @ExtremeBogom

just trying to learn you dumb foreigners somethin

  • @ghoulrush

    Oh I learned a lot, don't worry...

  • @ghoulrush "all actors...speak in the same universal dialect so everyone can understand them."

"In acting school they teach actors to pronounce everything clearly without any specific accent"

Firstly, of course all actors don't speak in the same dialect. Have Patrick Stewart and Al Pacino spoken in the same dialect, ever?

Secondly, what's this "specific accent" from all acting schools? People who leave RADA speak differently from those who go to the 'Actor's Studio' in New York.

  • @jungsbodyguard

Firstly, you're not a real person.

    Secondly, You're a nigger.

  • @ghoulrush Nonsensical and offensive. It seems your entire personality is refected in your comment. Well done.

  • @ExtremeBogom If they are playing a good guy then they will put on an American accent , if it's a bad guy then they will usually have a British accent

  • Come come, Mr Bond - you get just as much pleasure from killing as i do

  • I dunno. Coogan seems to get one-upped by Brydon in every single one of these.

  • perfect, except Liam Neelson's character in "Taken" was American with the corresponding accent. When Steve says "you" as in "I will find you" it sounds a bit Scottish in the inflection which Liam didn't have in that movie.

  • @xekul no it sounds northern irish, where Neeson is from and he famously, is rubbish at accents.

  • Dead on.

  • I cried with Laughter when I saw this part.. this show is so funny, moving and a little sad. Who knew Steve Coogan's best role would be of himself?

  • @matilda1978 Thats a great comment. Steve Coogans best role would be of himself. Like it.

  • I do this for a living, take out your textbooks

  • @joliecide Hahaha! That made me laugh out loud.

  • loved the series, that was my fave impression
