I was playing Super Meat Boy the other day, which also features an antagonist named Dr. Fetus.

There even is a Maggot boss in this game.

Coincidence? I think not :D

ich bin nur sehr traurig das viele deutsche heute von Bürgern anderer nationen als nazis abgestempelt werden. das was diese menschen damals getan haben war grausam, krank geistig nichtmehr zumutbar. trotz allendem ist deutschland heutzutage ein land in der der nationsozialismus verdammt wird. strafbar und von der öffentlichkeit verschmäht. ich finde es traurig das bis zur wm 2006 kaum deutsche sich getraut haben eine flagge aus dem haus zu hängen nur um zu zeigen das sie nicht rechts sind

The basic of surgery is that dead or badly perfused tissue must be removed because there is where bacteria grows.

Living tissue if it is well perfused wont catch any bacteria.

Maggots do just that. They eat dead tissue away

Also in their spit and gastrointestinal tract are probably some supstances which have locally antibiotic propertes otherwise they would get infection themselves after eating tissues.

Sometimes homeless people with open sores will have their wounds infested by maggots and this can actually improve their wounds..I have seen this. But its not a controlled condition.

i knew maggots were a good tol for getting rid of bad infected flesh but i didn't realise just how good they were, very interesting video, i know what i'll be asking the doctors for if i get a bad infection!!
