  • Absolutely awesome. Barry should've written music to accompany those black mass rituals we hear about. This music was the only thing I enjoyed about the film, but I'm willing to give it another view when it's on again. I've enjoyed reading about that period of history, and I love the cast, but there's way too much talking, for a film of its duration. Normally that wouldn't phase me, but the dialogue is mostly (if not, wholly.) subjective. The film would've won me over, if it was an hour shorter.

  • Magnificent music; Barry should have written church music.

  • Tarkan - Viking Kanı!

  • Regis regum rectissimi

    prope est dies domini

    dies irae et vindicate

    tenebrarum et nebulae

    diesque mirabilium

    tronitorum fortium

    dies quoque angustiae

    maeoris ac tristitiae

  • John Barry should always be credited first in the credits. Before the title. First John Barry then the title, then all the others.

  • I attended the New York premiere attended by stars such as Henry Fonda. It was a glorious night. A great movie, and viva two great stars O Toole and Hepburn

    Great opening score

  • Altar'ın oğlu Tarkan !

  • If you listen to this, this was actually a precurser to Jerry Goldsmiths Omen score. Barry got there first !

  • John Barry is wonderful. Thanks for posting this.

  • I LOVE the music from this movie. Powerful and moving! John Barry could creates moods and/or emotions better than anyone. Only John Williams or James Horner come close.

  • @JJfromPhilly67 Replace Horner with Herrmann, North and Goldsmith.

  • reminds me of the Omen's music, but that was after this...

  • Another awesome soundtrack from one of Britains finest composers.

    RIP John Barry.

  • Barry rules!R.I.P.

  • RIP, John Barry.

  • One of the best openings in film history! Great great film score. John Barry will live forever.

  • Barry's fine score for this film impressed his many Hollywood colleagues, including the great Hugo Friedhofer, who informed me shortly after Barry had been awarded his much deserved Oscar, "We were impressed by his individuality, which included the fact that he did not fall-back on the style of old scores, such as those composed by Rozsa and Walton."

  • Nice music, excellent cast, wonderful music! Good-Bye JOHN BARRY!
