I think there is a deference we can first recognize the difference between America and the United States. America is the glorious country we live in while the U.S. is the body of government that continues to commit atrocities against we the people and abroad.

Part of the beauty of America is a relative freedom of expression. It is very anti-American to just go along with what is said; however, it is very patriotic to talk about issues and act upon your dislike just as the founders did.

I was not supporting imperialism or attemping to justify mass propaganda and forcing democracy on others. My point was to help clarify that regardless of whether it is justified, there is still a distinct difference between the actions of individuals and the actions of states. I would start by saying that if individual greed were perpetuated on a grand scale then we'd have anarchy or life in a "state of nature" (Locke) which would be "nasty, brutish and short" (Hobbes). Having government engage in these activities whether justified or not is reflective of state survival. The 'us or them' idea in which if we (Britain) dont do it then they (Spain) will do it to us, and vice versa. Sure, power is often abused for ill means, but at least it's not anarchy.

Nice video, but we all make mistakes on judging people and the US appears to try to right it wrongs. For example we did support Hussain and then a US President had the balls to act and take a bad guy out of power. If it was just about oil I would not be paying 3 bucks a gallon gas and Iraqies paying 21 cents a gallon.
