AVRO was ahead of its time back in the day!!! Damm shame they got busted up...My DAD was a Backseat driver in the clunker and she always brought him home!!! 440 AWF Sq.
The SABRE is a fine craft as well !!! Really cool fellas flyin around back then..and now too!
Magnificent films! The NRC did a series of tests in the 1970s and found that the CF-100s then in service had an essentially unlimited service life. The only reason they were taken out of service in 1981 was due to lack of engine spares, else they might still be flying (as Electronic Warfare trainers, like in '81) today!
the canuck was a great airplane the pilot i know was in the korean war and flew for rcaf and was assigned on the canuck he loved it its to bad they wernt in serves for a long time. and the f-86 saber was good too
Yes, you did a wonderful job filming. It's amazing how you were able to emulate those nineteen-fifties production values. Looks one-hundred percent genuine!
CF-100 was a great aircraft. As the only Canadian fighter I think we should have one flying. Instead CWH and VW concentrate on American aircraft.

Do you know the name of the pilot to whom you are referring?
My father flew Sabres North Bay and in Korea as an exchange pilot with the USAF. He also flew CF-100s in both Canada and Europe.
Please let me know.
