What a brisk, bright sound on those stops. Would love to hear the full variety. The U of F is indeed fortunate to have such an amazing instrument. The accoustics in the loft weren't too bad. How are they in the concert hall? I imagine infinitely superior so that you can boost the power and really expand the sonority that only the living sould of a pipe organ has inside of it. The magic is only evident during a live performance, when the music showers down on the people. It can be divine.
If the 8th volume of the Peters Edition of Bach's organ works by FR Roitzsch in 1852 was still being printed in 1967, I don't think anyone in the last 40 years has seriously thought these 8 preludes and fugues were composed by Bach !
JT Krebs is a likely candidate for authorship, but in the Preface to the Neue Bachausgabe of Bärenreiter, Professor Alfred Dürr explores all the possibilities.
Well, you can certainly play it but I would suggest the use of a metronome or have your teacher beat time for you. The variations in tempo are disturbing. It's a natural tendency to speed up a bit in the easy parts and slow down when it gets thick but that's not how this goes. Also, you can slow the whole thing down a bit, make it a bit more stately, then you can probably play it on tempo straight off.
WOW... and you have memorized the piece! Loved you registration.

$25,000 per stop and some unbelieveable price for the console too.
(If I am not mistaken, these are the ballpark figures)
