Would it be better to install the HPO rail, pour oil in the feed port, then install the HPO feed line to the rail?

It might help some, but you would waste more time than you could gain. Just adding the oil to the top of the injectors of to lube the injector seals foe installation.

How long a bar do you use in that ratchet head?

Are the glow plugs on the 04's in the same location or are they a little lower?

Yes, the are basically in the same place. They also use a different style connector bus bar.
