The best moment of this glorious clip occurs @ 00:37 when the kinsecope screen rises and gives way to the ladies- the legends- coming out live, in what must've been a 20-year reunion- and they clasp hands like sisters and don't appear to miss a single step. Music variety television could bewitch you when it wanted to.

This makes the 16th duet they have done together...There are some from the 50s , 60, and 1977 being the last official duet...this Emmy Award Presentation is special...It's the last duet.

Love this! Dinah and Ella were such great singers with wonderful easy going personalities, Ella sang every style of music and she did it well, thus she was called the First lady of song. I have been finding the old clips of the great singers of the forties and fifties. Nobody today comes close to their natural abilities.
