There have been many cases of people finding pirate's treasure that was buried, so they DID bury it. Mostly so they wouldn't have to carry it around.

Thank you so much waynesayonara! I love the XL episodes. Especially this one since several of the jokes don't actually make sense in the original version. Since you didn't hear the bits about left-handed objects, or the roundest thing in the universe, when they're referenced later it just goes right over your head.
