Whole you didn't video your fingering, the little that you did show didn't look at all like you were playing but faking it. Didn't see any fingering for the octave the song was in.

Tape it again and show your fingering so we know if you're for real or just lip-synching.

@meadmaker93 ...really dude? 1. look at his other videos, 2. the solo, despite how good it is, really doesn't sound so good that it would be on the record. 3. I don't know what you're watching, but the fingering looks absolutely fine to me (i'm not a clarinetist but I dabble enough sax that I should know). Besides, what the hell is the point of learning to finger-synch to a solo? That's a lot of effort to go through for a few comments of praise from random youtubers.

@Abriggs500 They are in mine. I used to play for my school jazz band, until I started learning sax. And there is at least one (maybe two, I forget) clarinet in my school's jazz band now.

That said, I don't really feel clarinets fit properly into big band type pieces. It's really more of a solo/small band instrument as far as jazz goes.

I'm debating showing this to my band director so he'll let me switch back to clarinet for jazz band. he told me if i wanted to play in jazz band i would have to switch to another instrument, so I switched to alto sax. I prefer the clarinet over the saxophone a hundred times, though. it has a better tone, i think.

Very good...honest suggestions...work on your licks that go over the bars from 4 to 5 and 8 to 1...in other words change the 4 bar segments up a bit....also sometimes go above high C...do not think you did at all...build up tension more to that point...
