I also find it challenges my thinking and logic processing quiet a bit.
Oh and why the Robber doesnt kill Yami with a knife? Fucking Simple Yami has already imposed the Dark Game around him,I mean in one manga chapter Bandit Keith threatened Pegasus with a Knife but Pegasus turned his Hand into a Gun with his Millenium Eye and made Keith kill himself(Holy Shit O_O)!

did you know that the original first season wasn't even about card games? it had a different game in each episode, and these games were usually games of life or death. unfortunately these episodes were never released outside japan because they were too violent and didn't promote the card game. 4kids didn't want to dub this season because they knew they wouldn't sell alot of merchandise with it. that's why we never got to see the only part of yugioh that was any good.

the stuff at 2:19 and the constant "Oh no!" was what kinda made yu-gi-oh famous and easy to parody, i mean you doing it just shows that that's one of the things that makes it famous
Yu-gi-oh actually means "king of games". And in the manga, there was a point to them, and they weren't all card game. The main Character basically had this psychotic alter ego, who, when seeing somebody doing something wrong, he would trick them in to playing a game with him, and if they lost, they would suffer a penalty. Usually the game had something to do with their flaw, and the penalty reflected that. A guy actually tried to stab Yugi during a game. He was doomed to a life of insanity.
I would like to point out that Yu-Gi-Oh was not always the confusingly pointless piece of shit you see now. In the manga/original anime (known as Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0) instead of card games it starts with basically a psychopath inside a little kid, and whenever the kid is in trouble, he comes out challenges them to a mini-game, beats them, then rapes their mind by sending them to the shadow realm.
The first anime was canceled for excess violence, btw.
The only reason I used to watch this show back then, was because they had that one cliche' "whore" character. Forgot her name. That and some of the cards had some cool designs. But the show was shameful dreck at it's worse.
The story of Yu-Gi-Oh is kind of sad, really. It started out as a kickass idea about a kid who's given a mysterious puzzle from ancient Egypt. He solves the puzzle and is granted dark powers, which he uses to challenge various villains and criminals into various "Shadow Games", which would result with the loser receiving a punishment which would consist of them going insane, (and in at least one case, death).
Then they somehow abandoned this idea to focus entirely on a card game. Fail.

The YGO game was good, up until the game was about being rich instead of intelligent...
Well, technically, all TCG's need you to have a good amount of money to get the cards you want, but if anything, YGO is too complex and uninteresting. TCG's are a decent game system, but if you decide to play anything, stick with Magic the Gathering, the game that got YGO popular.
The show was even worse. I used to like it when I was 9, but being 15, I feel guilty having enjoyed it.

The manga is better then the show, and the Japanese version of the show is much better then the English version. IMO
I like season 0, since it's not focused on the card games and the story is pretty good.

Yeah!!!! great vid DCE. I agree with u on the whole logic thing,and WTF!!! a guy robs a bank and suddenly drops everything because of a card game!? at least with pokemon the person could actually harm the robber and attack the guy with lightning. but with yugio it's fucking vertual cards!!! It's like if in god of war, Kratos is about to have a fight with a greek god or something and he's like, "ready to battle!?" and the other guy is like, " okay just let me get out my cards"

Yu-gi-oh actually means "king of games". And in the manga, there was a point to them, and they weren't all card game. The main Character basically had this psychotic alter ego, who, when seeing somebody doing something wrong, he would trick them in to playing a game with him, and if they lost, they would suffer a penalty. Usually the game had something to do with their flaw, and the penalty reflected that. A guy actually tried to stab Yugi during a game. He was doomed to a life of insanity.

I would like to point out that Yu-Gi-Oh was not always the confusingly pointless piece of shit you see now. In the manga/original anime (known as Yu-Gi-Oh Season 0) instead of card games it starts with basically a psychopath inside a little kid, and whenever the kid is in trouble, he comes out challenges them to a mini-game, beats them, then rapes their mind by sending them to the shadow realm.
The first anime was canceled for excess violence, btw.

The only reason I used to watch this show back then, was because they had that one cliche' "whore" character. Forgot her name. That and some of the cards had some cool designs. But the show was shameful dreck at it's worse.

The story of Yu-Gi-Oh is kind of sad, really. It started out as a kickass idea about a kid who's given a mysterious puzzle from ancient Egypt. He solves the puzzle and is granted dark powers, which he uses to challenge various villains and criminals into various "Shadow Games", which would result with the loser receiving a punishment which would consist of them going insane, (and in at least one case, death).
Then they somehow abandoned this idea to focus entirely on a card game. Fail.

The YGO game was good, up until the game was about being rich instead of intelligent...
Well, technically, all TCG's need you to have a good amount of money to get the cards you want, but if anything, YGO is too complex and uninteresting. TCG's are a decent game system, but if you decide to play anything, stick with Magic the Gathering, the game that got YGO popular.
The show was even worse. I used to like it when I was 9, but being 15, I feel guilty having enjoyed it.

i think shows with the whole concept in the title/theme song. i mean realy: "TODAY ON THE SILLY CUNT FAG THE SILLY CUNT DOES FAG SHIT!!!!" it leaves nothing to the imagenation and it is for kids that cant understand the title... alltough yu gi oh means card king (thank god for wikipedia) butt how shoud we figure that out!!?

You know it's funny, I actually thought this show was entertaining...so I watched the entire series of Yu-Gi-Oh. However, when Yu-Gi-Oh GX came along with new characters and all this other useless crap that had nothing to do with the original plot...I disowned that anime completely. And now watching this, you've helped me see the light as to why I shouldn't have watched this show in the first place. Thank you so much! XD

Yugioh diden't start being about the card game.
Blame 4Kids for the horrid opening, and the shitty dialouge.
The whole repeating itself thing with "OH NO" and such, is mostly 4Kids fault too, through, not all of it. And of course, you need to know the fucking game if you are watching a cartoon based on it. It ain't that fucking hard.

GX is meh, but then switches around being bad and good. The japanese version of 5D's is fucking awesome, and the English version's dialouge is downright idioutic.
