thanks for the comments. Ive been busy for a while but ive found time to completely redesign. My new one still has 6 barrels, but is smaller with a lighter firing mechanism which makes it more accurate and higher rate of fire.
i saw it :P (the fireing pin pushes those parts.... the parts rotate... then the parts lock back on :P but still... the rope fireing system can hold more shots :P but still... NICE you made somthing that almoast nobody does :P
at 1:58 you can see it best. the bit with my thumb on is what you catch the bands on. the blue bit i got my other finger on is the trigger. raise the trigger, it lets one band go.
in the slo-mo bit (about 1:30) you can see being fired. theres a trigger thing that raises and hits the triggers as they spin past.
i always wanted to make a lego gatling gun but i did never know how to build one, but watching this movie i know how to make one.
Tanks!

Very fast to shot. but, too slow for reload and low accury and range

Video coming soon

you should reduce the number of barrels and make each barrel longer to increase the accuracy. anyway sick idea 5/5

y dont u load mor bands per barrel then u gotta nice gun ^_^

only make the barrel rotate to the other side
then the "trigger" must go to the other side

a great work
but...
if you use your right hand to shot, why did you not invert the rotatory and shooting mechanisnm?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean...
but I think what you're saying is what I did after I mande this. I changed it to fire before it got to the support.
it's in bits now though, I'll rebuild it one day

Looks cool! How many rubber bands can it be loaded with?
theinsekt 4 years ago
I usually do 36.I have loaded 48 but getting 8 on each is hard. The only bands I've got in any quantity are quite thick and I just can't fit many on.
I'm going to try to find some smaller ones and see how many I can get on it.
I can see 60 easily if I can get my hands on the right bands

I don't know how long I'm gonna keep this gun
I have ideas for other things and this is near enough all my technic.
I'll probably make some plans before I take it apart though.

still.... nice system :P but the rope system miniguns look realisticer :P

Just thought I'd mention
I could make this look better if I had double the amount of lego that I have
I may try a rope type some time
st0rmforce 4 years ago
another tip... at 1.30 you can see it good... your system is blocking... the rubberbands shoot against the gun itselfs
exxclusif 4 years ago
Yeah I only noticed that when I was making this video.
I'm still working on this quite a bit.
since filming I've changed the trigger mechanism so now it fires more to the right of centre.
