good natural response. i agree that more evasive footwork should be done in order to set up a knee to the back of the attackers calf to walk up and down his leg and achilles tendon.
Nice video and I concur with the previous poster. In addition, please allow the attacks to flow naturally and not cue them, forget speed, it's about flow and footwork.
The guy in with the scarf needs to work on the jurus principles and use footwork more. The attacker needs to learn how to attack without over committing with a jump everytime. I take Kuntao Melayu Jawa for 12 yrs under GM Mahaguru Pak Jafar in Malaysia.
thanks for the input! this was only our second training session together, so we are still getting used to each other. Anyway, I know very well how to attack with little telegraphing, but that's not what we were training - we are just getting used to the motions here. Thanks for the criticism though, keep it coming
Footwork aside, that's a great demonstration. That's some good work!

This is a great clip, and I don't like much of anything I see on youtube. You win the "not bullshit award."
Are you happy now?

Nice Sensei,
Silat is fast and hidden and I think this video demonstrates that well.
I will be searching for more videos from you.
