Just finished using your technique on my First Edition copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird." It worked wonderfully! Wow, can't wait to do my "Gone with the Wind" First!
I have tried this on my 1st Edition Winnie the Pooh, the musty smell has gone, but some of the pages have come loose when shaking the bag & hanfwash stains have not come off, looking forward to your next video on how to remove this.
Yes sorry - I did plan to do a tutorial on how to remove the handwash from books this week but have been away offering my expert advice to collectors at a German book fair. I will endevour to put a tutorial online in the next few days to show you how to remove the handwash (What brand did you use?). RE the pages that came loose when you were shaking the bag . . it sounds like you may have overdone the shaking a little . .can be easily fixed though - check out my other tutorials.
WTF????? Did this guy actually bang the book into the floor & rub the hell out of the pages??? Seriously?????

Was the book you used to wipe yourself by Ann Drex? Perhaps this is why you got mixed up?

Why not just use caustic soda?

Very funny. If I didn't know better I'd say there was a ring in hell for you.
One can save time by just putting a clothespin on one's nose. But you knew that.

Really, I think that what you do is a crime. To apply these methods to a book is preferable to burn it.

Great videos but how can you fix damp pages. You know when the book goes wavy. Is that possible?
