  • The only thing that I don't like is having to get Premium Gas when towing.

  • I pull a 21 foot Supra Wakeboard boat with my ridgeline. Not fun on hills, but it gets the job done. Truck is 5 years old and has been very reliable, unlike the Dodge I owned before it.

  • Truck enthusiasts are possible the worst people on the planet. Cocky bastards.

  • strong and reliable but ugly as hell!

  • boats dont weigh anything btw. ive seen a ford taurus pull a bigger boat than that

  • haha Made an awful lot of noise and barely moved.. Use the Ridgeline to bring your kids to soccer.. leave the work to real trucks

  • @LovingMyRam Rams are overrated pieces of crap, get a Ridge and you will be impressed that it will do exactly whats intended to do, its a light duty truck, its not suppossed to be a huge truck, and im sure it has a nicer interior than your gas gusseling piece of crap

  • I'm sorry but if I'm going to spend the money on a truck, I want a truck. The Ridgeline is a honda accord. Unibody, no low range, 3.5L v6......I'm not hating on honda I'm just saying that if I want to do truck things there are just certain things a truck ought to have. The biggest load I pull is a snowmobile trailer and while I know the ridgeline could pull it, I would rather have my 1/2 ton when heading down a freezing snowy highway. The extra beef is kind of a comfort in a sudden stop.

  • NICE

  • I don't really get all the hate against it... yeah it's sorta kinda ugly but it drives real smooth and gets the job done just as any other mid size truck will, though I doubt it can pull 6,000lbs as well as the v8 Dakota and Colorado's. That v6 is all top end and not alot of low end grunt. It's in no way built to take on full size trucks.

  • @joshnc101 That's why it's classed as a mid-size, with

the quarter tons. I can guarantee one thing for sure, that

Ridgeline might not have the exact towing capacity as

a v8 truck obviously, but the Honda will keep up in the

woods with any Colorado or Dakota, and it will last

for many more years then either of those trucks.

Oh yah and it's resale value doesn't drop by over

40 % in less then 2 years. That's why Honda has

a loyal following, you cant believe the reliability

    until you own 1

  • @afghi420 I dunno my 04 Dakota has been pretty reliable for the past 65k miles I've put on it. Bought it 2 years ago when it had 45k on the clock, only real work it EVER needed were some new shocks and new rear brake calipers. Any other work done is just routine maintenance. I admit for a truck that once costed 30 grand 6 years ago it's not built with quality in mind as the interior is pretty cheap but the truck does I need it to without a hitch. Can't complain with that ;)

  • oooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo... it pulled a BOAT!

  • Why does everyone want to compare a ridgeline to a full sized truck just because its a honda...most everyone out there just wants to hate on honda. How about compare it to another truck in its class like a colorado, they suck compared to a ridgeline so get over yourselves. Most of you people have probably never driven a ridgeline anyway.

  • not everybody is hating on honda, i personally have driven a ridgeline and towed with one... they are a comfortable car like ride, which is great for everyday driving and commuting to work, or driving winter conditions, but the towing abilities leaves more to be desired... the colorado is to me just a joke... its good that hondas trying to get into other markets, but they are better at making cars than trucks or even crossovers...

  • that ridgeline sounded like it was workin pretty hard probably around 2500 rpm if not more... not design for towin or haul anything of any great size even that little thing called a boat...

  • @manitoulin001: it's probably as much as it can pull probably why it sounds like it's working a little harder, for not being a full size truck though I would say it does ok.

  • yea, it seems to be doing okay for what it is... i certainly wouldnt want to tow anything bigger, always amazes me watching people tow huge loads with small vehicles.... like how stupid can you get.... personally i like to have a vehicle that weighs more than im towing... just a basic principal...like to know i have the power to pull it and the brakes to stop it...

  • I love my ridgeline, i can drive a truck but still have a big penis

  • That comment may have shrunk up your dingdong a bit.

  • Thats not a boat its a dingy.

  • i think i can! i think i can! cmon tiny boat move!!!!

  • ok people lets put it this way when ski-doo came out with the new XP platform i'm willing to bet everyone was sayin they are shit, BUT GUESS WHAT! THEY AREN'T! ...the point i'm tryin to make is don't hate a truck until you get a chance to try it yourself.

  • sounded like it was have a bit of trouble there. those things have the same motor my moms acura suv thing has and it can barely get out of its own way. i like my 250 7.3L real truck. i also like cummins and duramax so all you chevy and dodge lovers dont get on me

  • dont worry we are to discusted that city slickers call this crossover a truck to talk about which awesome diesel pickup is the most badass

  • redneck vehicles are only good for fixing. thats why they love american cars so much

  • good shit got love anything the japs make. ill only buy jap cars

  • f### ford i had a ford once blew the engine replaced it, blew the trany next, then blew the engine again soo again f### ford they suck

  • i had a ford once o wait i still do and its 150,000 miles on it same motor same tranny. i had another ford once still have that one. 180,000 miles on it same motor different tranny cause i flooded it 4wheeling. but my mom has acura mdx 50,000 miles on its secound tranny. hucks of shit

  • same here dude, i bought a brand new 2008 ford and the engine blew twice, and the rear end gave out. I don't even drive them hard :S

  • b.s.

  • hell yeah man tell em

  • Go put that boat back in water your honda has no real solid rear axle! Im not hating your truck they are friken nice rides but big boat? Ford,Chev would either break o hell unless its new they all suck. Nissan, toyota, honda, suzuki, jeep for win

  • What the hell are you talking about???? the ridgeline pulled the boat out with no problem. go with ford go with this and go with that the honda handled it. And im sure that if the honda was as bad as you are saying people wouldnt keep on buying it. For god sakes think about what you say before you say it.

  • My grandpa's v6 dodge van can pull out his 92' Crownline 190 BR and its 20 ft

  • its a fucking honda truck. it could NOT pull my go cart if it wanted it.

  • ya right dude my neighbors honda cr-v pulled a full size chevy so go suck a dick

  • yeah pickin on the chevy s10s doesnt count. get a 1500 or a ford power stroke. it will make you "neighbors" truck look like a bitch

  • the full size chevy pulled a triaxle dump truck out of a ditch somewhere on here so go suck one yourself!

  • @sstroh08 That was a Ram

  • @LovingMyRam if your talking about the dump truck thing, im pretty sure theres one of al lthe major brands pulling one out of something lol

  • Well and i have a life so...yeah.

  • barely? looked pretty simple to me. Unless you were looking for a Vette burn out and smokin tires.

  • actually... I know i'm a dick... so call me that all you want. either way... you're fucking stupid.

  • Do a little research and you'll learn it has a truck frame joined with a unibody. Building a truck does not limit you to V-8 engines, body on frame construction, and solid rear axles. ALL of the full size truck on the market can be equipped with V-6's too, I don't see what the problem is.

  • it wasnt even screamin cock stain

  • buy a real truck

  • I have a bigger boat than that I can pull it with my Saturn.

  • i love my silverado's and expess cargo vans...i would never consider a tundra or jap car as long as ford, dodge, and chevy cranks out a full size pickup....however if you do light towing, small utility trailers, atv, r motorcycle towing....i don't see why something like this would be a bad purchase,..but for any more abuse, i don't think this would be on my things to b

  • Why hate on the Ridgeline? It's easily the best mid size truck available.

And Mustang, you feel sorry for it? [and btw, learn to spell 'metal'] The Ridgeline has more innovation and safety features than whatever vehicle you own, I promise.

    Get off its lugnuts.

  • Any american truck owner would have the same feelings as me. And you're right, it does have all saftey features, but not as many truck features. My truck doesn't have airbags or abs but it gets the job done....

  • And what 'truck features' would those be? It has a bed [with a built in trunk], twoing capabilities [obviously] four wheel drive, 5 seats, etc. What else do you want?

  • Well, I can say that I'm starting to turn away from domestic trucks. My Jeep broke two motor mounts from casual off road & Jeep want's $500 to fix it. My wife's Honda blew out the whole oil pan on a curb & it was only $250 with labor & they had the part in stock!

  • It's supposed to be a full size? Nah, it's a 6 cylinder, most all full sizes have a v8.

  • The best midsized truck available huh? Even Honda doesn't consider it a truck. It's built on a car frame and is only available with a 3.5! Learn your trucks buddy! Ridge is shit!!!

  • I'm just used to being around real trucks...not a honda pilot used for soccer practice with a 4 foot plasic box attached to it. I feel sorry for it....waste of metel.

  • Real trucks use solid axles that........BLABLABLA."""??????????

AND THIS TRUCK IS UNREAL??? FOR ME IT WORKS NICE!

  • i dont want any crap about any americans here about how un-american i am.. though i am american. but i do NOT like american cars! not to mention the audio on this video was increased by a factor of 3. I mean really, honda is really one of the first manufacturers in the world to start off building a truck and in its FIRST year- it got more awards and buys than ANY other truck in HISTORY. I drive a 99 f-250 and used to drive a silverado.I also own one of these- and i drive the ridgeline more often

  • Real trucks use solid axles that independant suspension will just fold up when loaded. And buy AMERICAN.

  • Does anyone have american spirit anymore? How the fuck can you live in this country and buy a honda odyssey with a bed to tow your boat. Go get a Chevy, or atleast a ford, or dodge for fucks sake and throw out your Honda JizzLine

  • HAHA!! you have a BLACK president now!!!

    how do you like that?

American pride eh? that's why your cars suck!!

talk about pride before the fall.

  • what the hell does the color of our presidents skin have to do with our pride, our pride makes us the best country to live in.

  • I was talking to 'usa1america' because he said "white power."

And your country is one of the best to live in, only because it was founded on the Word of God. But now it is falling because of your pride.

  • impressive for a minivan

  • Is this impressive? I had a '79 Buick Regal with a 3.8 v6 and pulled my 24' Rinker cuddy cabin with it till a found a slip. It strained a bit up the ramp, but pulled it without a problem. Looked pretty funny though. I once launched it w/out the rear drain plug. Didn't notice till I parked the trailer! The old Regal still pulled it out, even filled with water up to the exhaust manifolds.

  • Ok, big fuckin deal, it is labeled as a "truck" so now its a big deal that it does a standard job for a truck

  • wow....theres a solution to that problem and it lies in american horsepower....

  • umm.... it honda not form japan

  • what a POS.

  • Thats a lot of noise and not a lot of moving.

  • Pulling the truck with the boat would have worked better.

  • hhahah thats so true!

  • People are funny. I've had several diesel 7.3 Fords over the years, but I also have a Honda Ridgeline. Nice truck, very reliable, tows 2 sleds, or two ATV's no problem. I have towed a 30 well craft Scarab with 2 small blocks with it. It did a very good job, but I'd only go 25 miles or so to launch etc. My powerstroke could have pulled it across the country. Different trucks. My point? The Honda is excellent at what it is designed to do with no drama. I'd recommend them.

  • Ha ha, our stories read exactly alike.

Unless you're towing an absolutely huge load, Diesel 3/4 and 1 tons are overkill.

With gas prices up, you can see how many people really "needed" a full-size Diesel pickup.

  • @clubshed Well the 7.3's are useless as are the 6.0's and 6.7's. So it is no surprise that you are impressed by a van pulling a small boat out of the water. thanks for a great time. please (for your own sake) trade all those garbage fords and honda's in for a cummins or even a duramax.

  • @powerstrokesmasher why would you compare a full size diesel to a midsize gasoline truck? If that's the case then I will tell you to get rid of your duramax crap and get a tractor...

  • @clubshed How could you go from probably the best diesel engine powered truck (7.3 Powerstroke) to a HONDA RIDGELINE (gay)??? A ford is a real truck, a chevy is a real truck, a dodge is a....real truck....Toyota tacoma ehhh rugged grocery getter but this is blasphemy

  • Nice

  • I have a 1999 f350 with the 7.3 in it. I haul my boat which ways 14,300 and you can sure feel it back there. Not to mention my truck out ways that pos ridgeline by twice the amount. There is no way it was even moving. I dont care what truck you have, 14,000 lbs is still 14,000 lbs at the end of the day

  • My tacoma smog that honda

  • I love toyota but this truck is about one of the best truck you can get for the money

  • THE TACOMA KICKS THE SHIT OUT OF IT. and doesn't appear to be a minivan on steroids.

  • actually, car and driver rated the honda ridgeline better than the tacoma. go ahead, look.

  • i wonder why lol the tacoma isnt half the size of a ridgeline!

  • guys, the ridgeline is a very good truck, we recently saw a ridgeline towing a 13000 pound boat, no kidding, its a good truck, go test drive one BEFORE you start yapping about how much you hate it.

  • The ridgeline has a independent rear suspension it can't tow 13000 lbs even in a dream world. if the truck would stay in one piece the weak six under the hood has less than 1/2 the torque of my truck and i dont dream about towing over 10000 lbs. i will yap and i will hook end to end with my truck any day of the week put your money where your mouth is.

  • exactly its based on the fuckin oddysey the motor is still in the same position as if it were in a front drive vehicle idk what honda was thinkin but its definetly gay

  • I agree, my gf has a 06 RTL. They're built very well. There's alot of technology inside of them. I think they're ahead of their time. And everyone knows Honda engines are probably one of the best.

  • was it in 2nd gear, wth?

  • my yaris can do the same thing....ha ha

  • it would be way more ccol if someone posteda vid of the Ridgeline dragging the titan soon

  • OH MY GOD!!! that is AWESOME!! i never saw a truck pull a little bass boat out of a lake up a paved boat launch! WOW!! I MUST BUY ONE SO I CAN GO FISHING

im actually kinda surprised it pulled that boat AND the trailer all at once

  • whats the torque on these? 200? lol

  • I don't have a camera crew to follow me around, so ;)

  • Is that an 06 or an 07? Those are so cool!!!

  • Sounds more like poor audio with the video...

  • It sure sounds like it. :D

  • NOOO! The Ridgeline is dying!
