  • I still prefer the extended intro!

  • Mark from the future sent me here!

  • Whenever I play my super breakout the cursor is really fidgidy constantly moving back and fourth from the slightest movement, do you think this is the game or the paddles?

  • @mpsteidle11 paddles

  • This reminds me of an old computer game called Bustout. I can not remember what that computer was called though.

  • The games always reminded me of the Close Encounters of the Third Kind movie. Watch the scene where the humans are trying to communicate with the aliens at Devils Tower with a tone generating band of colors. Then you'll probably agree.

  • I NEED THE NAME OF THE THEME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gotta love the old Atari sounds:)

  • @Sinistar24 I agree!!!

  • It sounds like a song in the game when u are making the ball hit the wall and then make it hit the breakable block things

  • why can't i see the ball at the end of this vid?

  • I wish I had classic game parties, but none of my mates like retro gaming =/

  • @Zambaku same here.

  • breakout spawned so many alternates that just about everyone has at least played one of them. but none of my friends know what im talking about when i say im playin breakout

  • no sir i dont have classic

videogame partys i try but my friends

they just want to play ps2 and xbox and wii

  • who thumbs down the comments below? your a real fucking twat for doing that whoever you are.

  • @BozoEngland well they are allowed to thumbs down any comment they want....sometimes i dont see the point in thumbing down some comments though, but there will always be people that do

  • is super breakout two players if so someone please tell me how to make it two players

  • "Classic video game parties ?"

    ORLY?

  • i loved the sound the ball madwe when you hit a lot of bricks at once it was awesome hearing a cacophony(look it up) of sounds

  • I'm a noob with atari 2600s

how do you start this game?

  • press the fire btton

  • there isn't a fire button on the paddle controller!

  • Hit reset on the system?

  • @cookie123456789012 yes, yes there is.

  • @cookie123456789012 Some games require you to hit the reset switch. Some you can press the fire button.

  • The sound on this game was surprisingly effective and hypnotic. That awesome ricochet-rumbling sound when you hit a run of bricks in a row. Memories!

  • I love the off-screen death of the party-people at the end.

  • I wish I could have classic game parties D:

  • Actually, the story of Super Breakout is that you are a spaceship pilot who's on a mission and suddenly gets surrounded by weird shining bars of light which he has to get out of.

Explains the gameplay pretty much, doesn't it? :P

  • Interesting.

In the Original Breakout it was a prisoner trying to break-out by removing one brick at a time. That seemed more logical to me.

  • Worked for Arkanoid. ;)

  • good memories of this game too. in case you didn't know, you're playin on the harder difficulty (i think it's difficulty B? i cant remember what they call it). that's why your paddle is so small even in the beginning. if you switch the difficulty, the paddle will be 50% wider for gameplay.

i loved progressive breakout too. esp when the levels kept going down on every shot. and there was some low brick when you hit it you get a mad bonus!

  • lol what happend to your fans at the end ha ha someone pumped thier asses full of lead lol

  • i only have emulators, but a few gamepads. nothing like atari 2600 on a 22" widescreen HD monter with friends!

  • Atari is meant for 4:3 SD TVs.

  • Super Breakout and Breakout are both great. I agree it's hard to say which is better and that both should be owned.

In Super Breakout I like the double paddle feature and the cavity offering up to 3 balls at a time (though you can't keep 3 balls going for very long, esp. once the paddle shrinks or the speed increases!).

But my favorite game on here is 7 (progressive). That is so much fun having brick walls continually descend!

  • Cool, I assumed the break out was an early version of the Nes game "break-thru" featuring that side scrolling driving/shooting game. This is a lot like the Arkanoid. I like it. Very addictive style of game play.

  • I grew up on a game called Arkanoid and it's like this but with powerups like a bigger paddle, multiple balls and(my favorite) the power to shoot other tiles/blocks (whatever thos things are XD)

  • well, i do have a nes a supernes and an atari 2600. so i probably should have a classic game party. thanks for the advice

  • COOL

  • YaY awesome classic video game parties!D

  • they dont need to improve but they do anyways

  • I do have classic video game Parties! We play the hell out of NES, Genesis, SNES, Dreamcast and Neo-Geo Games!!

  • you have a neo-geo, those things are expensive!

  • yeah! I bought one off eBay for 200 bucks! It was really expensive but It is worth the purchase!

  • @Atomduck neo geo? lucky bastard!

  • @Atomduck GGGGEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

  • @Atomduck Lucky that you have people that are willing to do such a thing. None of my friends are willing to do that. Probably because they're suckers for graphics. I hate people like that so much!

  • @RLmike1234

    Agreed :)

  • @Atomduck you are lucky i dont have freinds that share my retro gaming passion as much as i do... come to think of it only 2 of my friends have played system older than the n64

  • You guys are awesome, improving each day :D

  • u guyz are improving =)

    congratz
