I'm pretty sure the martial artist in the video was just trying to demonstrate the movements and techniques instead of performing the little details that people look for in tournaments. Come on guys...a little support for our brothers. Thanks.
First of all, I'm a huge fan of poomse. But what bothers me is people think they can just memorize the movements and say they know it. That's not good enough, they have to perform them with power, balance, timing, grace and rhythm to say they really know it.
@eugene680 I train under Master Ron Southwick at MSU, and I must say that I feel the same way. We are one of the few schools that do Palgwe and Taeguk. And there are times to where he does feel like poomsae does not get enough credit. And I feel the same way. I think poomsae is more of a challenge to yourself more then your opponent like sparring is.
muy bueno el video
