MAC products aren't sold at sephora, though they have plenty of nude-y colored or light pink lipsticks. To get the exact one though, go to a MAC counter or store.

Not to say that the MA gave you wrong information, but as far as I know it's not a requirement that you go to beauty school to work at MAC, however MAC hires artists and generally some type of cosmetology school gives you the experience to hone your makeup artistry skills. i guess it never hurts but so far as i know it's not a requirement.
