Guimaraes portugal and Fado musik

Fado has absolutely NOTHING to do with Guimarães. Fado is a form of expression who was born from the life of 1 city: Lisbon:

70 years ago nobody knew fado in Guimarães. This kind of music only existed in Lisbon and Coimbra, the city where young people from Lisbon went to study.

Today people sell fado has "the voice" of Portugal but the truth is that it is a local phenomenon out of context when reproduced out of Lisbon.
